Coxhill/Miller Miller/Coxhill, The Story So Far... Oh Really!

great to at last have the cunieform lovingly collated/celebrated collection from Phil Miller's brother and the great busker LOL,all that great work in Delivery came around these times too

Coxhill/Miller Miller/Coxhill has been one of my favorite albums for decades. Lol Coxhill is an excellent, underrated, idiosyncratic English soprano and sopranino player. The tunes here are inventive, melodic, tight and thrilling. My vinyl has been worn out from too much play, and I despaired of ever getting a CD release. The release notes say that they lost the master tape, and that the transfer was done from a digitized LP, with lots of painstaking waveform editing to remove any clicks. Whoever did it did a fantastic job. I can't believe how good this sounds.

Being a SUPER fan of the Canterbury scene i am thrilled to have this couple of Lps which were always hard to get and i never got the chance to find them. Excellent, subdued, melodic, underground-ish prog type of stuff (lot's of tracks with fender Rhodes or Wurlitzer, bass & drums, and others with Coxhill on Sax). Also, great sound remastering job once again from the guys at Cuneiform Records, the real saviors of progressive music.
