Art of Problem Solving Introduction to Algebra Textbook and Solutions Manual 2-Book Set

I love the book series for my kids. Just wanted to leave a note about the seller and listing. Previous reviews noted that the solutions manual wasn't included. I got both the textbook and the solutions manual. Books were also very well packed to avoid any type of damage.

Our son has been learning a lot from this.

This book does make it easy for our daughter to be a self starter with algebra. The solutions manual allows us to check her work and when she gets things right without having to go into depth. The book is nice in that it has methods that allow a middle schooler to follow along and learn.

Seems to be a good book, at least I didn't find a better one. I think there is still room for improvement though.

I've heard from friends that this was a great algebra book to use. I bought it for my 7th grade daughter so she could practice algebra at home. This textbook is great! It even includes a solution book so when my daughter gets something wrong, she can tell why she got it wrong because it explains step by step. This book includes lessons and problems! If you're looking for a Algebra book for you or your family, I really recommend this!

Great amounts of thought, time, effort, and even love for both the student and the subject have obviously been invested in producing the entire Art of Problem Solving series. Painstakingly presented with small steps leading gradually from initial to more advanced concepts, making this series very useful for both classroom and self-study. Coupled with the companion Solutions Manuals, it is hard to imagine better textbooks covering all phases of mathematics. Thanks guys, great job!!!

This book is almost whole algebra in a nutshell. Perfect book for summer study and self learning. Lots of practice problems. You don’t need any other book.

I am working with a couple of more advanced students in a summer program preparing to study Algebra 2 in school next year. They enjoy working on the challenging questions in this book.

I bought this book as a birthday gift for my son. He started working through it in Grade 7, reading and completing the exercises page by page. A year later, he had finished about 70% and told me it was one of the best gifts he’s ever received. The material is quite challenging and requires discipline to stick with, but he gained a lot from the experience. He especially appreciated how thoroughly the book explains concepts—it addresses questions from every angle and leaves very few gaps. Unlike some external classes that focus on solving “fancy” or well-known problems without building a solid foundation, this book emphasizes deep understanding and fundamentals. Most importantly, the results speak for themselves—after working through this book, he became the No. 2 student in math in his class. The No. 1 student is exceptionally advanced and had already learned calculus in middle school, which puts the achievement into perspective. I would highly recommend it for any student who truly wants to learn math—and learn it well.

I bought it for my 13-years old daughter. She needs help with her math. This book is a good fit! Her math has been much improved since she started reading and working on it. Recommended!
