Just bought our first HPEV Mazda CX-70. This vehicle charges at 30 amps max. So the 32 amp Aimiler Level 2 charge is a perfect fit. Only 6 days in, but so far a great product. Easy install. Comes with the 240V 14-50P plug. I was happy to see there is a warranty extension available with the mail in coupon that came in the package. Now I have 4 year warranty. It also has an app available. It works like a charm. Shows charging amps and time. Even records history so you can see your consumption over time.

[Update 6/1/25] I've been using the charger for over 4 months now. My initial review impressions still stand. The charger has been completely reliable. I've had no issues with it at all. I mostly schedule charging using either the app or the buttons on the device to charge overnight to take advantage of my utility company's day/night rate. The app continues to be basic and the historical energy use data doesn't always display correctly. I really wish they could fix that. [Original review 1/18/25] I decided to upgrade from the level 1 charger than was included with my car. After looking at MANY different chargers I decided on this one as my first level 2 charger. NO REGRETS. This charger does everything I could want at a reasonable price. I only use it in my garage and don't intend to travel with it. I've used it most days for over a month, and it's been completely reliable. The build quality is very good and includes wall mounts and a travel bag. I like that the charging rate (amps) is adjustable. My car can handle up to 32A but if I'm not in a rush I charge at 16A. I don't know the science, but I thought it might be easier on the battery to charge at lower rates. I even tried 12A once and that worked fine. Remember that it's your car (not this device) that determines the actual charge rate (up to the max set by this device) and the car will not always charge at the rate you set. For example, as the battery gets closer to full the car will reduce the charging rate. So, don't be surprised if the charging rates vary somewhat. That's by design. I like that it's integrated with the Smart Life app which I've already been using to control other smart devices in my house. The two main uses I was looking for was (1) View real-time charging data and (2) track my energy usage over periods of time. It does those two things to my satisfaction but overall, the app does feel a little basic. I've also noticed that in the "daily" energy use view it can sometimes be missing data for some days. The monthly and yearly views seem to work though. So, the app could use some improvements, but it has all the basics covered. I've been impressed with the customer service from AIMILER. I emailed them before purchase, and they responded within a day or two. I emailed a few more times after purchase, and they again responded quickly with helpful and courteous responses. I was impressed by this given how customer service seems to have degraded so much in general these days. The warranty is also impressive at 3 years. There is a printed card included that tells you to email them at [email protected] and they will extend the warranty an additional 6 months. As long as the company stays around my impression is they will stand behind their product given how they handled my emails but hopefully I'll never need to find out. In summary, I'm very pleased with the charger so far. As long as it remains reliable, I'll remain a happy customer.

I recently purchased this portable EVSE, and I am really impressed with it. First impressions: 1. Good design and built quality. Feels at par with major brands and is FCC, ETL certified and UL listed. 2. Comes very well packed and includes all necessary accessories like carrying bag, wall mount, cable mount and cap. 3. 25 feet cable, which is really handy. 4. Inbulit wi-fi and app control, which is very handy to manage the device and charge, and some comparable brands do not offer this. App works like a charm and gives freedom to set charge level, scheduled charging and delayed charging. 5. Enclosure is weather-rated, and I used it outdoors in the rain, and it works without any issues. The only negative I could find was the quality of the J1772 connector, and it feels plasticy; the clip is made of plastic, and I am not sure it can withstand time and drops. Perhaps a metal clip would have made it more durable. No issues so far, and working like the way it should. Recommended product.

Very happy with this product. My PHEV charges in like 2 hours (13KW battery) and the good thing is it shuts down by itself after battery is fully charged, if someone is concerned about over charging. It has rating of 32Amps, I got it installed with 50A breaker for safety as the electrician told me that this is different from any other heater or dryer as this one runs for longer durations with high current flowing. One more good thing about this one is it displays the charging rate in real time so you can almost calculate how long it may take to charge the battery completely. I think it also does some kind of load control as I see different levels of current flowing while it charges so that is also good.
