It is NOT for millivolt systems, which are also 2 wire but work off typically 750 millivolt DC generated by a thermocouple constantly heated by the pilot light. The user manual states it is for 24 VAC systems. Honetwell customer support confirms it does not work with millivolt systems. **Q: Is there a battery in ct87k** A: What battery does it take? CR2050? **Q: How do you turn it off during the summer time?** A: 1) Turn dial to its CCW-min. Unless you a/c your place to ~45º F, that's pretty-much OFF. (And you'd be a 'Climate criminal'?) via a/c silliness. 2) Just pull the unit out of its socket ... the way you installed it originally; it's just two wires behind. The thermostat merely Shorts-these for 'ON'. HTH. **Q: Will this thermostat work okay for replacing my King thermostat--line voltage double pole?** A: search for "line voltage thermostat" in tools and home improvement, there are several to choose from. For example "Honeywell Manual 4 Wire Premium Baseboard/Line Volt Thermostat(YCT410B1000/U)" ## Frequently Bought Together - Honeywell Home CT87K1004 The Round Heat Only Manual Thermostat - 18/6 500Ft.
