Top Quality Dog Bed
Very quick prompt service. I ordered on Bank Holiday Weekend, and was here on the next working day tuesday to the UK. It was very well packaged, and came with unpacking instructions. My 10 year old Staffie, has taken to this bed really well, when in the past he has been uncertain of new beds. This bed is at the higher budget range, but worth every penny, as he has slept in it, very well every night, and has often been retiring to it during the day, which is unheard of for him! The information that has also been provided with this is very helpful, and looks very easy to clean for the future. I would highly recommend this product to any dog lover, and especially for the older larger breed. Thanks again to Eric, Matt and Team, you have been a pleasure to deal with.

The cover is easy to clean
I bought this product for my Labrador, who suffers from arthritis in the spine. She took to it immediately and even uses the pillow! The cover is easy to clean. I use sticky roll and a damp cloth if I need to. I have not washed the cover as I protect it with a blanket in the winter and a cool sheet in the summer. I air it outside once a month and also vacuum it. Wish the manufactures would make funky fitted sheets for it as well. My girl would highly recommend it! I got the 7" as she is a big lab. I have had this bed since May 2017 and it is still in excellent condition. I have not washed the cover as I protect it with a blanket. I air it outside once a month and also vacuum it. Really worth the money - one of my best buys ever!

5 stars from Harvey
Have to say I am extremely pleased with it, my friends told me I was crazy to spend that amount of money on a dog bed but so far so good! He was diagnosed with hip dysplasia so wanted him to be as comfy as possible as we have wood floors. Vet recommended this. He hasn't chewed it ( touches wood ) & the quality is excellent. I only ordered the large despite Harvey being a 50kg Rottweiler , because he doesn't really stretch out completely when sleeping but the size is adequate . He just needs to work out which end the pillow is now !

The Rolls Royce of dog beds
This is the Rolls Royce of dog beds! I love it, so do my dogs! Ok, so it is expensive, but you really do get what you pay for.... I ordered this specifically for my beloved ageing border collie with arthritis and hip dysplasia, who just will not lie curled up in a bed. After much research I decided on the Big Barker, as it a special orthopedic bed and is long enough for him to lie straight out. It arrived the day after I ordered it, which is incredible, it was really well packaged and popped into shaped virtually straight away. Kori has really taken to his new bed, the only problem is, so have our other two border collie's, so he is having to share, at least there's plenty of room for all three!

Brilliant product. My Labrador loves it
Brilliant product. My Labrador loves it, if it was bigger I would probably share it with him. With a 10 years warranty it is well worth the money 👍👍

Amazing bed!!!!
Amazing! Better than what I expected. My old English sheepdog who has joint issues, has found this bed so sturdy and makes his getting up less of an effort. Would definitely recommend!!

Dog will sleep on it, but only when a throw is on it.
Our German Shepherd / Husky cross completely ignored this dog bed. Then, I crumpled up a throw, intended to protect a sofa, over the dog bed. Suddenly, the dog bed was the place to be. However, if I move the throw from the bed, the dog will sleep on the throw, not the bed. So, the bed is deemed ok, but the throw is really the thing the dog likes.

Our 8-yr old Shepherd has begun to display symptoms of arthritis, and we worried that his normal dog bed was not providing much support or comfort. An online search for orthopedic dog beds kept turning up recommendations for Big Barker, so we bit the bullet on the price, and ordered one. The bed is terrific -- firm enough that the foam doesn't collapse under his weight, but still soft and supportive. It took a couple of days for the dog to figure out the best way to get in and out of the bed, as it is a very different feeling than a typical cotton batting-filled bed, but he got the hang of it. We have already recommended the bed to friends with senior pups.

When I first read about this bed and did a little research (Thank you WorldMastiffForum.com!), I wanted one right away. After I saw the price, I had to think about it for a few months. We didn't really need another bed yet as I had been taking good care of the two most recent $100 plus orthopedic beds we had by keeping them covered with fitted sheets and fleece throws that I could take off and wash frequently, but the foam was gradually flattening despite my best efforts of flipping and rotating the beds. Finally, we decided our rescue babies, a 130 lb. female mastiff and 120 lb. male great dane/Labrador retriever mix, would get a giant Big Barker to share for Christmas this year! Unfortunately, we found out in October that our male needed TTA surgery for a torn ligament in his knee. We decided to order the bed early so that he could get used to it and then have a comfortable place to recuperate after surgery. When it arrived and we finally got it unwrapped from all the plastic wrap that compressed it to about a fourth of its size, we were surprised at just how large and heavy it was! As per the instructions, it took the foam a few days to fully expand at which point my husband hauled the bed upstairs to our bedroom. We added the waterproof liner and the cover (it took both of us to do this), then topped it with a mattress pad and a sheet that can be taken off and washed a couple times a week. At first the dogs weren't that thrilled with the bed, but over the course of a week, it became their preferred bedtime spot. Both of them can lay on it comfortably, and when only one dog is using it, they can stretch out as far as they want and still be supported. We moved the bed to the main level and surrounded it with a folding pen for use while recuperating and it has been wonderful for that purpose! There was more than enough room for our boy to stretch out, get up and turn around. We also had plenty of room to sit beside him and do passive range of motion exercises on his leg. I have to confess, we even stretched out beside him and snuggled for a lot longer than we would have had it not been so comfy! It's been two weeks since his surgery, the surgeon said he's doing remarkably well, and he's been given a little more freedom to move about. Guess what? After letting him out this afternoon so he could move into the adjacent room which is carpeted and contains two older hundred-dollar-beds that we restuffed, he chose instead to return to his Big Barker bed! We are impressed with the quality and construction of our Big Barker giant bed with headrest (...which they use adorably!) and are very happy we made this purchase. Yes, it was expensive, but the beds we had been buying weren't cheap and those wore out. We even ordered memory foam mattresses and egg crate foam (again, not cheap) and cut that down to restuff a couple of beds hoping to get a bit more use out of them. With Big Barker offering an unheard of 10 year warranty, this bed will likely outlive many of the dogs for whom it's purchased. We'll be buying another Big Barker as soon as those other beds we have go flat ...or I get tired of stuffing, rotating and flipping them. ;) Update: Since our original purchase of the GIANT Big Barker bed reviewed above (which is still as full and supportive as ever), we've expanded our collection. We bought an XL bed with headrest for our dog with knee problems to use downstairs and stacked the two existing ortho beds for our mastiff. It seems that even two regular beds can't compete with the comfort of a Big Barker though as she would find ways to get him off the new bed so she could steal his spot. The only solution was to order another XL bed, our 3rd Big Barker in 9 months! It's a huge testament to a product when your oversized lap dog chooses to lie on his bed in another room over laying with you on the couch, but that's exactly what happens most nights. We highly recommend Big Barker and look forward to more products from this company!

I purchased the Big Barker dog bed for my English Mastiff puppy hoping the bed will prevent joint issues as she grows (not to mention saving room on the couch for people). The bed is true to the stated dimensions, well made and should last well past my puppy growing to fit the bed. The foam is very dense and doesn't flatten to the floor when a person sits on it. It was well and compactly packaged (much better then the normal Amazon packing) and arrived promptly. I also got the generously proportioned waterproof liner and found putting it on the bed was quick and easy. The outer cover slid easily over the smooth liner so future removal and replacement for cleaning will be simple. I am impressed with the bed, really like that it's made in the US and definitely feel it's well priced. Now I just hope my puppy likes it!

I have four beautiful, very large dogs at home here in HK...I have just taken delivery of four XL Big Barker Orthopaedic Dog beds...and they are absolutely sublime. They are tough, have great posture support, and the dogs love them. You can buy waterproof under covers which is a good idea...the materials used for these wonderful beds is clearly the best available, and the quality of the manufacturing and the finishing on the covers is impressive. My compliments to the high standards that the manufacturer has insisted on....you pay for what you get and I am delighted with these beds as they are every bit as good, if not better than advertised. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending these beds to anyone...if you want a bed that will genuinely support your dog and will stand the rest of time and considerable wear and tear, them BIG Barker beds are a good choice for you. If you are looking for cheap beds, you can find them but these Big Barker beds are in a different league altogether... Warmest wishes, Tim EVEREST ~ HONG KONG
