Egg
Love this its so versatile
User
works
works well , would prefer the measurements in grams or ounces to be more accurate but easy to use ( just remember to leave once mixed for it to thicken ) and you cant tell from the taste that it is egg substitute

Brilliant alternative
I struggled to make cakes with other egg alternatives, but Bobs Red Mill egg replacement is brilliant. Would recommend for anyone who can't eat eggs.

Makes vegan cake making less of a guessing game
I often use the โwaterโ from tins of beans as โeggsโ when baking vegan cakes, but itโs a very inexact science! This egg replacer takes the guess work out of it, so though I may have to experiment with precise quantities, once Iโve got it right it will always be right. Donโt expect egg taste, youโll have to add that with a pinch of Himalayan Black Salt (experiment carefully before making celebration cakes).
User
Gritty
Okay, but despite using exactly as directed this gave the finished baked goods an unpleasantly gritty texture. I much prefer psyllium husks or even crushed linseeds, as when allowed to soak in water first they aren't at all gritty and the results of this egg replacer weren't any better.I won't be buying this product again.

Easy to use, great value
Love baking with this handy vegan alternative

Good alternative to eggs
Works well but have found that if you add one more โeggโ to the what the recipe calls forIt works even better. If you have kids that are allergic to eggs this is nice substitute.

Great for Its Designed Use
After reading all the reviews and then using the product myself, I think there has been some misunderstanding among the some users. This was conceived and designed as an egg replacement for use where the eggs are intended as a binder, such as in baked goods and meatballs. When used for its intended purpose this stuff is terrific. It works perfectly and doesn't impart any noticeable off flavors. You might want to consider adjusting butter or oil amounts, as this won't add a lot of the richness real eggs will, but I have not felt the need. However, if you try to use this as a direct egg substitute for eggs eaten on their own, such as scrambled eggs or omelettes, you will be sorely disappointed. It was never designed or intended for that use and won't work at all. When mixed as per the directions it forms a sticky (that's the whole point) greyish mess that nobody would want to eat by itself, but performs beautifully in breads, cakes, meatballs, or anywhere else the eggs are intended to hold stuff together.

Great For All Your Baking Needs
As the US is facing an egg shortage due to bird flu, I was looking for an alternative to raw eggs. I came across Bob's Red Mill Egg Replacers and decided to try it out because it was such a good deal (1 TB mix to 2 TB water = 1 egg). This means 34 eggs per bag x 5 bags = 170 eggs, and it is shelf stable!!! The expiration date was not until November 2026 so close to a two-year shelf life. We used our chamber vacuum sealer to even further extend the life, but each bag has a zipper, resealable top.Easy to mix up, although the finish thickened product doesn't look particularly appetizing (sort of cloudy looking). I added it to the chocolate chip cookie recipe, and it mixed up with no change in taste or results, as you can see by the finished cookie photo. Please note that this mix is made for egg replacer in your baking needs. It was great for the baking I have done. This free up the raw eggs we can find to buy for scrambled eggs and other recipes that this mix would not work for.

Easy to use
I used Bob's Red Mill GF Egg Replacer to make chocolate chip cookies. I was a little skeptical at first when I mixed the powder with water & the mixture was very dark looking. Nothing to worry about after all. The cookies turned out great.
