Fun for 7 year old.
My 7 year old grandson loved this! He was so excited and wanted to put it together as soon as he opened it. He and his dad assembled it and he played with it for hours. Good purchase.

Excellent present
I bought this robot for my almost 7 year old daughter for Christmas and she loves it. We worked on building it together. Directions were easy to follow and the app is great to work on coding.

Fun robot for younger kids!
I received this robot kit several weeks after ordering only to discover that half of the pieces were missing. My son was so disappointed. I ended up purchasing at a local retailer however, and it’s a great toy. Fun to build and fun to program!

Reasonable
First thing's first - the screws for this are TINY. They are tricky for kids to work with because they are so small and so easy to lose. My 8 year old really struggled with this, so this ended up needing more adult assistance than I expected.Next up - sharp plastic nubs! The pieces for this robot come suspended on a plastic frame. Each piece is snapped off the thin support pieces, but they leave behind sharp little nubs on the robot pieces. We had to use nippers to clip them all off, which I found to be annoying. Some of the pieces snap/click together and they required a good bit of hand strength and force to be able to get them seated correctly. A few of the pieces took more "oomph" to get together than my kiddo could muster. I really feel like the maker did not have kids test build this thing. The app for this is only available on Android and iOS. My kids do not have smartphones and the app isn't available for their Windows laptops or Fire Tablets. This severely limits how the finished robot can be used - I either have to give them my phone or they have to use the built in buttons on the robot. They do have fun playing around with the robot, but I don't think that this will end up getting a lot of use. I think there are better robot/stem toys out there for this age range with easier and more accessible apps. This isn't bad, but it's just OK
