High Climbers and Timber Fallers 2ND Edition (Book) by Gerald F. Beranek

A gift for my son. He loves it!

I bought this as a gift for my husband who was a timber faller until he retired & worked in many of the locations mentioned in the book. I know he is going to love it. So excited to find this book. Also excited that the 2nd edition is a lot less expensive than 1st, but quality is the same.

This is a great book for tree lovers. Great pictures, good stories. The pictures are the key to this book. Great coffee table book and conversation starter. We have the DVDs and a poster of this group's work.

Great book with awesome pictures and stories.

This is a truly wonderful book. I picked it up a couple weeks ago while travelling in Northern California. The pictures of the redwoods and the men working in the woods cutting them are awesome. The author writes in a very easy style. You feel like you are sitting across the table listening to him talk about his experiences. What is very interesting is that he has the book divided up into chapters showcasing different tree fallers and climbers. He does a great job of introducing the reader to the individuals working in the woods which makes the book much more interesting than just looking at pictures of trees being cut. If you like to use a chainsaw, you will absolutely love this book. It is expensive, but well worth the price. Makes a great Christmas or birthday or Father's Day gift.
