Excellent book to teach kids about body parts in a fun lighthearted and entertaining manner

Very happy with purchase. Arrived quickly. Hardback - 198 pages. Vibrant colors. I teach English in Belgium and it's not always easy to find material the kids like, with good contact, and can be read independently. This is it! Only suggestion for improvement - this book would be great in a large format. Book isn't small..but it's not big either. But a fine purchase!

This book is one of numerous anthologies from Random House publishing of Dr. Seuss and affiliates. Each anthology is unique like this one. The Yellow book is useful for toddlers just getting to know body parts. This collection includes books that cover the basic body parts on teeth, knee, eyes, ears, nose, and feet. My 19 month old loves this book being read to her. Upon reading it everyday she has now identified numerous the body parts that is told in each book. Some people get confused at the board edition of these books vs the anthology. The difference is the bright and early board version is an abridged version of these full books. The board versions are useful for the very young crowds of infant to toddler because there is no paper to get soaked by slobber, mouthing, spit up, throwing around, bending, and can take quite a bit of abuse. This anthology is a hardback with paper pages, so I would not hand this over to a young baby or toddler who likes to tear pieces of paper. My 19 month old has both the board version and this anthology. We keep the anthology out of her grasp and read it to her when we are in control of the book, so it does not get damaged. The older kids who already know about these body parts might get bored with this. The other anthologies of the big blue, purple, red, and others are great. Each anthology seems to target a specific developmental stage that a child is going through. I would highly recommend for parents of toddlers and kids who are learning about body parts and how to use them. Great Anthology!!
