Quik Shade Expedition Instant Canopy

Described as a 10'x10' canopy, but it is actually 8'x8' on bottom of legsand top is 7'8"x7'8". I set it up next to my old 10×10 canopy. A picture is worth a thousand words. Very unhappy.

Gave it 3 stars due to the fact it ripped on first use and dealing with the "warranty" was a joke. Bravo asked for multiple pictures, a copy of my receipt (which the information was entered from when I completed the warranty registration) and an explanation of what caused the rip. It just so happened it was raining out which was the reason I had the canopy up. Bravo wanted to reject my warranty claim because they saw the frame was wet in the picture despite the rain had absolutely nothing to do with the reason it ripped. Rather than getting a free replacement as the warranty states they semi denied my claim and made me pay for shipping, which was extremely highly priced. And of course they didn't have the original cover color so I got to use my orange canopy for a total of 1.5 hrs and am now stuck with blue. Kind of struck me as odd that the manufacturer didn't have a direct replacement for a product they still produce and sell. FOR THOSE WONDERING, BRAVO SPECIFICALLY STATES (I FOUND OUT AFTER THE FACT) THIS CANOPY IS NOT RATED TO BE USED IN RAIN, IT'S SIMPLE A SUN SHADE. BRAVO WILL FIGHT YOU IF YOU TELL THEM IT WAS USED IN THE RAIN AND SOMETHING HAPPENED TO CAUSE A WARRANTY CLAIM.

0 stars. I purchased this item in August 2016, used it for one week then put it in storage (inside my house). June 2017 I started using it again for the last two weeks. The very last time we set it up, in two areas the metal has broken. We were not rough with it, we did not force anything, and I always cleaned and kept in great condition after every use. So I contacted the manufacturer "Bravo Sports" they said the item is under a one-year warranty, but is not covered if damaged during set up/take down. This item has only been used for a total of three weeks in its "less than one year lifespan". This is a very poor quality built product. I would understand more if it was something I did, but trust me, I would not be wasting my time writing this bad review if it was. Poor poor quality and if I had known how cheaply built this was I never would have purchased this item.

Purchased this canopy for Vendor events. Unfortunately you can't put this up by yourself but it is very easy with the help of one other person. You stretch it all the way apart first, then pushup the tent part and it locks in place. After its locked in place you stretch it out to make it taller. It is easy to break down too. It is possible for you to break down alone but of course much easier with assistance. I would have preferred a tend that is perfectly straight ( a perfect square) but that's just a preference. I helped many people put up their tents this past Saturday and there was only one that was easier than mine (also probably a MUCH more expensive tent) Otherwise there was one tent that was much harder and the others were all comparable. I would recommend this tent to others.

Pictures included in this review . Listing states that top is 300 denier, but when received the product it was very thin and even the label on the bag States 150 denier.... listing also says that the bag is 600 denier, not sure about that, as it has torn several directions already. As picture shows listing States it will shade 8 to 12 people. LOL, only if you stack them on top of each other. When I received the product the bag States it will only hold six people... this is a 10 by 10 SLANT LEG which means the actual shade is a bit less of an 8 by 8. Listing states it has a "sturdy " frame, but when you lift two corners opposite each other to move this, the other two corners sag down and droop pretty bad almost to the point of bending the top frame from its own weight. Once the canopy is assembled over the top and velcro is position perfectly, and the top is completely expanded, it seems to be a bit sturdier. I don't see anything special about this top, just seems to be average lightweight quality pop-up canopy. It would help if they we're honest and weren't advertising in the listing more than it was. I do not believe that it has the quality of the current asking price of around one hundred, as you can get much more at that price point. I purchased this item because I needed it to cover some DJ equipment for a block party, thought it was going to be sunny turned out we had about 2 inches rain in about a two hours! And I did not know if this item was waterproof but it turned out to be actually 99% waterproof only a few little drips came through the seams. So I would highly recommend this product, it's very easy to assemble and the fabric withstood two hours of heavy downpour rain which kept my very expensive DJ equipment dry.

I used the quick shade last season and the first time opening up the package the leg's stand broke. I didn't think it would be too big of a deal, until trying to get it back out for this season. The leg doesn't pop out. I've tried to finagle it out but to no avail, the leg went in deeper. The tent was expensive for me and now it is useless. Don't buy if you plan on using.

We liked the product was easy to assemble and pack away. Handled sun and rain quite well. But ours had two defects out of the box. The one pop out metal pin in the leg that stops it from sliding was not auto popping out we had to prod it to come out. And the one plastic clip at the top to hold it from sliding had a hairline crack.We are returning the product and were hoping for an exchange but there is no more stock.

Easy to setup and take down (even solo). Withstands a little wind, but most importantly, Keeps out the rain and sun. Perfect place to chill and watch the kids in the pool.

Overall the canopy works well and is easy to set up and take down. The product arrived quickly but the carrying bag for the canopy arrived damaged and ripped. I will have to find a way to contact company/amazon to replace the bag.

My husband and I set this up together and it took maybe 5 mins. It was easy, came with everything we needed. We used it for camping a couple of times and it was great. It gave us shade from the sun and it covered us when it rained.

I wouldn't put it up in a hurricane, but I have used this awning for many social and camping events and it has never failed to keep the sun and rain off. It goes up quick and is excellent value for the money.
