Review on toyota air filter
Hi, I bought this for my 2005 toyota camry le. Last replaced one was about a year ago. I had bought from walmart in there automotive department. I noticed the design was lacking in that it was not heavy duty built. I seached the web and came across this product. I ordered about a week ago and received it today. I installed it today and it was absolutely great the diffrence from the old one was huge. This filter is very durable ,it seems a better fit then my last one. It was not flimsy. Made very well. I was extremely impressed by the overall quality. This filter after looking at it for some time and doing research it seems to have 3 filters inside this one filter ,so in a sense has layers of different filter. Absolute rate this a 5 out of 5. I hope to see if I get better gas milage. Thank You For This Great product!

great, easy to install
Relatively inexpensive "repair" anyone can do, all I needed was a 10mm socket and a socket wrench with an extender and some torque as the bolts were rusted on pretty good. Looks authentic, identical to the stock filter I had, except, most importantly, factory clean. (Those more expensive racing air filters you can "upgrade" to may get you more power, but they also let a lot more incombustible crap into your engine that nobody's gonna want to clean out, so unless you need the power like you're actually racing, don't bother with them your engine will thank you)

Excellent quality
This is a review of Toyota Genuine Parts 17801-YZZ01 Air Filter Element installed in a Toyota Highlander 2010, the installation can be a bit tricky, I disconnect two vacuum hoses connected to the top cover of the filter before move anything, then it takes some practice to install the cover back correctly, but this is the third time I do it and it took me only 5 min to do it. The filter is extremely clean, you can see the how the old one has retained dust and other things from the external air. The package was a bit damaged this time (first time it happens) but the filter integrity is flawless. My 10 years old Highlander still gives 26 miles per gallon, with no issues.

Original part
The part looks and feels like an original Denso unit. The fit was great.

Filters the air - good stuff
It's an air filter. It filters air. That's what I hoped it would do and that's exactly what it does. Will I buy again? Yes! There is always more air to be filtered.

The real thing - great filter
Buying from Amazon is so easy. I received a genuine Toyota air filter in the red box with the Toyota emblem. The filter was the real thing. I have Amazon Prime and I had the filter the next day instead of two days. There is an online description available on how to install this filter. It is a little tricky. Basically you need a 10mm socket and a 3 inch extension on the ratchet. The filter is the same price at the dealership, but they charge you about 30 dollars to install it for you. You can do it yourself if you are careful. Search for toyota sienna air filter install and you will find directions.

Good, not great
It is an oem Toyota Engine air filter. I find aftermarket filters to be of higher quality than this product though. K&N makes great filters, and TRD makes good filters as well. Purolator makes good filters as well. The Oem engine air filter feels a bit cheap, so to the discerning car owner, it doesn't live up to its purpose. The edges are too thin and feel cheap and could let air fast the filter without any filtration. I feel K&N makes a better product, as does TRD(Toyota racing development) with a rubber edge all around a pre-oiled filtering media make of synthetic fibers.

Buy Oem for an easy install. The mating surface compresses a little so you can get the filter cover tabs in position. Good luck with aftermarket ones that have a hard plastic mating surface.
