I bought this cover for our EcoPure water softener 2 months ago, before our temps were constantly reaching the 90's. It worked as intended until about 3-4 weeks ago. The plastic viewing port was great because it allowed me to see when I needed to add salt or clean the filter without having to remove the cover. The problem is that this same plastic viewing port also acts as a magnifier for the sun and started melting and warping the top of the softener and lid, as seen circled in the pic. I thought that if I placed a towel on the lid and underneath the cover that was exposed to direct sunlight, that it would prevent any further damage, but I was wrong. The towel actually got stuck to the melting plastic. I removed the cover and would not recommend this to anyone.

If you're reading this you already know the benefits of a water softener. Even though I pay an arm and a leg to use potassium crystals instead of sodium, I think the benefits outweigh the cost. Unfortunately the way our house is plumbed, the only way the water company could install the softener was on the outside of the house. Because the softener has an opening in the back where the plumbing enters, leaves and other dirt and debris inevitably get caught inside the softener, and very occasionally make their way into the salt bed - not desirable. And my gardener loves using a blower which causes even more dirt and leaves to enter the softener.That's where this cover comes in -- it ships in a nice zippered pouch, though I'm not sure when I'd ever use the pouch once installed. The design is for a wide variety of softeners so I appreciate that they designed it to be somewhat generic. The front has a plastic see-through window - I've no use for it but in case you have a open-face dial you could see through and make sure, e.g., the timer is working. The back is velcro from top to bottom, which allows you to use it regardless of where your pipes enter the softener. It has two buckle straps and a cinch tie at the bottom, to keep it from blowing away in case of high wind. Lastly, and what I appreciate most, is the front has a zippered opening to allow you to add more crystals or check the system without removing the entire cover.It's a little oversized for my softener but that's totally okay by me. Being able to keep the debris out of my softener is all I care about, and this cover does that nicely.

Nice and sturdy. I like that It has a clear part that you can see through. Pretty good quality and definitely have no complaints.

I don't have a water conditioner, but I do have stacks of DeWalt TStak cases full of tools and DJ equipment that I store on my covered back patio, which gets visited by dust, spiders, and wandering cats. So I decided to try these out as protective covers for those stacks, and they work perfectly.Now I don't have to worry about cat marked, spider web covered, or just plain dusty equipment every time I decide to use one of my different stacks. Strong materials and strong stitching make these really useful and reusable covers, and they look a lot better and more professional than my former covers, which were 55 gallon trash bags.

Ordered this for our ice machine since they seemed to be about the same size overall. Our commercial ice machine's just shorter by about 4-5 inches. This cover is actually quite perfect for it since this has a wide window so we can view the machine controls as well as the clear door to view the ice. This cover also has a wide zipper just below the ice-door area. It's nice & wide opening that doesn't block our ice-machine door. Love that this has 2 adjustable belts to tighten this cover so it's snug-fitting. The bottom also has an adjustable elastic cord that can also be tightened. I had to fold it up to fit our shorter ice machine. Good waterproof exterior material. Like that the silvery interior material provides some insulation too.Remarkably recommended.
