This is because this monitor only comes with a VGA connection, and does not support HDMI cables or DVI cables which deliver HD. Although the monitor does look very nice and crisp, if you need true HD support you should consider paying a little bit extra and get a more full featured device. That being said I am quite please with this monitor. I ordered 6 of these to use on a number of new shipping/receiving computers I purchased and they are great. They deliver nice colors and are very bright. They also sport a small form factor and are quite light. Because these monitors are LED backlit you can rest assured that compared to traditional LED monitors they are even more energy efficient and compared to Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) they are like night and day. I give this five stars because it delivers all I asked for, none of the six monitors I received seemed to have any defects, and considering the price they are asking you get a very nice little monitor. It works pretty well for that, and was very inexpensive. The only thing I don't like is: I do ham radio, and when I transmit, I get a light herringbone pattern across the screen, even after applying ferrite cores to the VGA and power cables.
