Having recently upgraded to a new TV and surround sound system, I started noticing glitches in both the picture and sound when using my 4K UHD Blu-ray player and PS5. I didn’t spend all that money to be getting a less than perfect audiovisual experience! It turned out that the old HDMI cables I was using were no longer up to the task of handling the high-bandwidth data transfer between my various equipment. After considering various options, I realised that although it was important to have HDMI 2.1 standard cables for my current and future needs, there was no reason to pay a premium price for good performance. I decided to try these Silkland HDMI cables as they have a lot of good ratings and reviews on Amazon and were available in a variety of lengths. The cables arrived in durable but easy to open packaging. I have found the braided construction of the cables to be sturdy and resistant to wear, while the HDMI connectors are well-made and fit securely into all of my devices. The cables are sufficiently flexible to allow me to loop them through the back of my TV stand and to daisy chain my Blu-ray through my sound system and into the EARC HDMI port of my TV. For my setup, I found that the 1 metre cables were perfect for shorter connections, while a 2 metre one is useful for connecting my PS5 which is on its own stand so is a bit further away from the TV. Since installing the Silkland cables, my viewing and listening experience has been excellent. The 4K UHD Blu-ray picture looks flawless even when using higher bandwidth features like HDR or Dolby Vision. Dolby Atmos sound is now as it should be and my PS5 can now output at a smooth 120Hz frame rate without upsetting my TV. There are so many HDMI cables of various brands on the market that it is hard to be sure whether these Silkland ones are the best of all the options. But they have performed flawlessly and my picture and sound quality are now perfect, with no glitches. I’ve relegated the old cables to the TV in my spare bedroom! Top marks from me for this excellent low-priced quality product. Highly recommended.

needed a short HDMI lead. works great

Got this to run from my camera to a monitor on a cage and the 0.3m length is spot on for that kind of setup! I’ve used 0.5m cables before (different brands) and there’s always a bit of slack, which just gets in the way. This fixes that straight away. Everything sits tight and looks way cleaner, especially when everything’s mounted close together! I've been using it on set and out on location as well, and not having extra cable hanging around makes a big difference when you’re moving about. Nothing catching or getting in the way which is exactly what you want! Build quality feels really solid, the braided design makes it feel a bit more premium. It is quite stiff though, which can sometimes be slightly annoying. Signal has been completely fine for me, no issues there at all, It has come loose once or twice and needed a quick replug, so just something to be aware of depending on how your rig’s set up! Overall though, for compact camera setups this is miles better than longer cables and just makes everything feel cleaner and easier to manage, great value for money!

The 2 0.5m HDMI cables was exactly what I needed for my daisy‑chained setup. One cable runs from my HDMI switch to the audio extractor, and the second goes from the extractor to the display. The short length keeps everything tight and tidy, with no excess slack or cable mess. Both cables deliver flawless signal quality — no dropouts, no handshake issues, and they handle 4K without breaking a sweat. If you’re building a compact, organised AV system, these cables are ideal.

Worked great, the nylon braiding feels durable and thew cable was shipped in great packaging. Didn't have any signal, compatibility, or durability concerns at all. The shorter cable lengths do feel really overpriced but that's probably just shipping built into the price. Fine for ordering just a few, but no more.
