Enter the R.E.D. series, or Robot Enhancing Design, for Transformers! These are non-transforming cartoon accurate 6-inch figures. Soundwave looks very close to this G1 cartoon look. Review: Son loved - Nice addition to my sons collection Review: Two thumbs up - Awesome looking figure perfect for any transformer collection

Nice collectable
Soundwave has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid, I loved the way he spoke and the different creatures that would transform from cassettes. Brought back a lot of fond childhood memories,

Another utter fail for R.E.D.
Fragile and poorly articulated, and doesn't look any more like the cartoon's screen model than any given toy that actually transforms. as in, ANY toy with the name, aside from the silver bayformer, or the Earthspark flip-changer that has no articulation whatsoever - even the Core class versions (while much smaller than this) look at least as good, and can be put into far more dynamic poses.

Wobbly figure with bad balance
I did not like this fugure all that much. It's very wonky and wobbly, feels like it's not well balanced. I got a Yolo par one and like that one better even though that's supposed to be a very basic, kid friendly figure. The finish on this one is a bit rough as well as the paint job. Cannon keeps falling, blaster end is soft plastic so I have a figure with a curved weapon. Overall, kinda dissaointing for the price.

Kinda disappointing
The build definitely reeks of cheap production. Accessories like the shoulder cannon fit in very loosely and are very succeptable to falling out of their anchor points. Legs have limited posability and the hip joints are loose. Cassette door has difficulty opening on its own, so you need to pry it open. Also, a Laserbeak cassette that doesn't transform. The sculpt is okay, but lacks some other secondary details. Doesn't transform either. Overall very underwhelming, not worth the money.

Got this guy just becos he is Soundwave! Articulation is good. Wish he has all his cassettes with him.

The reason I've given this a good 5 stars is 3-fold; 1: it is a well-designed representation of one of the best G1 Transformers ever 2: it is a product that is pretty good value for your money 3: I love the character Soundwave - he's my all-time favourite Decepticon

Excellent action figure Built quality is good though the plastic quality seems to be a little low as compared to studio series. Soundwave himself is very iconic and photogenic. I bought it for 999 and I think it's value for money. Go for it if you're a collector.

Bought this version that doesn’t transform, makes a nice display piece, great sound figure, comes with extra set of hands, ideal if you want Soundwave to hold his gun, or to look like he is activating his chest unit to release his minions, the only gripes I have is that it’s very difficult to put his gun into the relevant hand, secondly the shoulder mounted weapon falls out easily so either a tiny blob of blu-tack should do the trick, and finally I wish the cassette you get was actually transformed into laser beak as this would look amazing on his arm as if he was sending him out on a scouting mission. Gripes aside I’m very pleased with this, just got to keep it away from the grandkids
