This roll of Mylar is going to last me forever! I ordered to occasionally make greeting card stencils. I wanted something thick enough to create a sturdy stencil that could stand up to being inked without the ink pad or brush getting snagged or the ink bleeding outside of the image and distorting it. I also needed a Mylar that would cut on my Cricut Explore 3 machine. This roll of Mylar checks all the boxes. Using the Mylar setting on my Cricut I selected the default pressure and had the fine-point blade pass through two times. The image was cut cleanly and was easily removed from the cutting mat. When I tested the stencil out it held up and stamped a clean image true to the stencil’s design. I cleaned the stencil with water and the ink rinsed off but left a slight tint from the yellow ink I used. Before applying ink, the Mylar was crystal clear. Because the Mylar is only 4 mil, the stencil is thin and very flexible. I plan to store my stencils where they will lay flat and if need be, I can apply tape to keep the stencil in place when using. From the length of the roll to the quality and how well it cuts, I’m very satisfied and impressed with this Mylar.

I love that there's basically no limit to how long these sheets can be....I haven't tested the limit yet but I can get pretty long stencils out of this. It's easy enough for my Cricut to cut as well as to hand cut if needed. I feel like the stencils are durable enough for many uses.

I have so many uses for this. Great for making stencils, and to make covers for shaker molds, but I mostly got it to use as the bottom for pouring silicone molds and I needed more than just a regular-size sheet, so was super glad to find this in a 40-foot roll since that means I don't have to splice it together.

It's a lot thinner than I expected but it will work to make stencils. I don't know how long the stencils will last but they've worked for a least a few uses.
