Plastic stopper broke when expanding rendering stick useless
Works very good as a shooting stick, I like the bungy that won't let the gun come out of the V. I left the stick and my gun in the truck (I live in the country)as I usually do so that I know where they are and so that the gun is adjusted to outside temps (mid 20s). I got out and expanded the shooting stick and heard a pop and the end came off. The "plastic" stopper to keep the top level from coming of had broke, making the whole stick useless. I am going to call the manufacturer for a replacement. Will let yall know how it goes.

Get this one!!
I've been looking at different shooting stick/walking sticks and I am extremely happy that I went with this one. I would give it more stars if I could because you can tell how much thought and design went into this thing. I've looked at the Trigger Sticks, and others at Dick's and Sportsman's Warehouse, and I just wasn't satisfied with any. The trigger stick is solid, but a little too heavy and too expensive. The Eastman Outdoors Gorilla Gear Deluxe Shooting Stick is awesome! It adjusts from turkey hunting/sitting on the ground height to hiking and standing to shoot height. I am 5'11' and if I was on level ground with this stick at max height, it would be a few inches too high to shoot comfortably. It is solid and well built compared to any that I have seen. It is roughly rectangular in cross section, slightly rounded on one of the longer sides. This does not feel like it is going to break if you were to use it while you were hiking. The locking tabs between the sections are plastic, but they are robust and as strong as any that I have seen. Nice little camo pattern that does look like it can scrape off a little when moving the parts in and out of each other, but I can easily live with that. Foam padded handle with nylon strap. Even the support V on top is well thought out with little rubber slats that extend inward that will give a little extra hold on your rifle or shotgun. There is the locking strap that I may or may not use, but it is an extra little feature. I am very satisfied with this and would absolutely recommend this particular product for the hunter who could use support while out for turkeys or extra hiking support with a handy support for standing shots while hunting large game. I can't wait to get out and use it!

Mostly Good
The Stick is sturdy, quiet and extends to a length which allows you to shoot standing, sittingor kneeling. Unfortunately, the first one I got came with a broken release clip (returned it and it was replaced promptly by Amazon). The second one broke at the base of the rubber rifle rest the first time I used it. Rather than return it again I replaced the rest with one I had from another stick which broke. It is all good now. Still, I think all parts should be more rugged, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars.

eh
This works okay but still a little wobbly for me. I use a tripod rest more and works better for me. But as Isaid this is okay.

Broke after one afternoon of use
I thought that this shooting stick was fantastic the first day of my hunting trip. We posted up on a hill side and it let us easly scan and target in the valley. The next morning I tried to extend it and it broke immediately. Rendering it useless. I will try to contact the manufacture and will update this review after I hear back.

Works good for shooting not to good for walking on steep ...
Works good for shooting not to good for walking on steep Rocky terrain because the bottom third of the stick would retract when I needed it for support going down hill.

Solid Sturdy Product
This shooting stick is well worth every cent. The adjustments on the stick are precise and sturdy. I use it as a stalking tool to steady my shot. I also like to sit so the adjustment from stalking to sitting makes this tool a must for the best steady shot a hunter can have. Keep an eye on the threaded V as it can unthread from the stick if you're just carrying it loose on you're pack. This happened to me only once and I backtracked 2 miles to find it. Thats how much I like it !!!!

not great
the locks dont hold well they slide down when enough weight is on it 230#, the grip slips down the shaft, one of the plastic internal stops that keep the sections from coming apart broke the time I used it. I'll likely glue the grip in place and maybe one of the sections that silps.

The camo pattern is nice however on my 1st attempt to expand the stick ...
Seems fairly durable and capable of handling some abuse that plastic models are just not capable of. The camo pattern is nice however on my 1st attempt to expand the stick to full length some of the pattern flaked off the aluminum on 1 of the sections about an inch in length. Not a big deal to touch up however a little disappointed this happened before it even made it to the field. If the rest of the camo stays intact it is definitely a sound purchase. Good and stable and the gun grip at the top does a really nice job of grabbing the forearm so it doesn't slide around

Disappointed
I am disappointed, the monopod is very week, the tip is not reinforced and if you extend it when you put some weight on it doesn't hold it is going down slowly and the paint is peeling off. Maybe I can use the handle with another sky pole.
