I have what most would consider a "typical" lab shaker, with the adjustable rails to hold things in place, like Erlenmeyer flasks...but where as that shaker excels at shaking things that stand up, but doesn't do shaking things that lie flat very well, for obvious reasons...this shaker from ONILAB excels at shaking things lying on their sides, but isn't that great at shaking things that stand up, because of the elastic band hold-down. So, each shaker type performs a specific function well, and the other one not so well. So ideally, you want one of each. This is an excellent "flat bed" style shaker. It's VERY smooth, very quiet, and is a piece of cake to use. If you're looking to add a shaker to your laboratory arsenal, this is a good choice. I also recommend you look at the "cage style" shakers, too. I find owning one of each quite handy, you might also. Amazon sells both kinds. 5 stars.

This is an excellent digital orbital laboratory shaker. When I worked in the research laboratory many years ago before retiring we used a shaker but it wasn’t digital and not as nice as this shaker. This shaker comes with two bands to secure items that can be secured. The speed is easily adjustable between 40 and 200 revolutions per minute (RPM). This is an excellent range of speed on a shaker. It is small and doesn’t take up a lot of space. The work platform has a non-slip rubber mat that is also easy to clean. The bottom also has rubber so it stays in one place and doesn’t move while in motion. The housing is solid plastic which I would rather have than the old-fashioned metal ones that were not friendly to work with. This will be a pleasure to use. I will update my review if anything changes.

It is pretty simple lab equipment, Mine has been running for months now for agitating liquid medium. It operates smoothly and noiselessly. Lab equipment can be so expensive, With this price, It has a powerful motor, great digital control, slow ramp up, and a heavy-duty power supply. Everything about it was perfect!

This is a fairly run of the mill linear shaker for use in a laboratory environment. The device worked as described for the small amount of time I've had it in use, but given how these shakers are used in a lab, I haven't had time to put it through any real trials. I found the build quality to be adequate, it's not flimsy and cheap feeling, but it also doesn't scream quality. It is on par with it's price point. The device is not really compact or small, it takes up quite a bit of bench space, but that may be required given the weight capacity. In either case, if I needed another lab shaker I would consider buying this in the future.

I don't work in labs, so was expecting something that vibrates. However, when I plugged it in, it did nothing. Finally spun the wheel under the tray by hand, and it started moving, but quit after 30 seconds. So obviously I got a bad unit and wrote the company to ask if there was some adjustment I could make rather than send it back. No answer. The time mode can be set up to 90 hours. The main unimpressive aspect is that holding the button to go from 0 to 90 hours takes about 30 seconds. That is tedious. Thankfully, it will retain your last setting after you turn it off, but then it is more tedium if you are at 90 hours and want to go down to 1. Would have been nice to allow storing a couple presets.

I don't have a lab any more, but still have a lot of equipment from it left and occasionally mess with things for little projects. And this is a nice small size, reliable, reasonably priced linear shaker. Of course the speed is adjustable and it has a nice programmable digital readout and interface. Perfect for what it is and does per size and price.
