Couldn’t ask for a better lookin/functioning saltwater reel
Excellent smooth reel for last two years! Own 5 now and oldest ones are going on about 2 years inshore fishing and other surf fishing that’s been dunked a couple times on charters, hold up to the salt environment great with a good rinse and wipe down. Thx for the fast delivery!

Just took it out of the box
I love Diawa. Have several but this is the Japanese model. Just took it out of the box. Interesting. Has all the Diawa characteristics. But lighter. I'll re-do my review if there's an issue.

Noise whiling cranking
Overall reel is amazing. It’s smoother than the old BG, and lighter as well. It would get a five stars but while reeling it makes a noise. Sounds like the reel isn’t greased up. Only makes the noise while reeling up a fish, lure or sinker.

A very well built reel.
A great reel all round. Everything is super smooth and frictionless. The power is strong and will have no issues with pulling fish. The drag system is pretty nice and definitely top notch. My only issue is that there is no antireverse switch but that just means that this reel has one less room for failure.
