Works well, and sturdy. I was worried that once it was full of water it would be super flimsy and hard to handle, but it's pretty thick and tough, and can be handled easily.

So far they are working out great putting the ice in bags taking several out when I go fishing keeps our salmon cold all day no need stopping at the store to buy ice anymore which is costing more every year

6pcs Extra Large Silicone Ice Block Molds – Decent, But Falls Short on Depth As a veteran in Wimauma, FL, using cold plunges to help with stress and some physical issues. I picked up the 6pcs Extra Large Silicone Ice Block Molds for Cold Plunge or Coolers (Blue) hoping to streamline my routine. While these molds have some solid features, they don’t fully meet my expectations, mainly due to their shallower-than-anticipated depth. The images make it seem a little deeper than they actually are. The molds do a decent job producing large ice blocks that keep my cold plunge bath chilly for about 5-12 minutes, which is helpful for recovery after a hot day. The blue silicone is durable and flexible, making it easy to pop out the ice without breaking, and they’re dishwasher-safe, which is a plus for quick cleanup. They also stack neatly in my freezer, saving some space. However, I was disappointed by how shallow the molds are. I expected deeper molds to create larger, longer-lasting ice blocks for my cold plunge tub, especially for extended sessions. The current size melts faster than I’d like, requiring me to use more blocks than anticipated. This makes the process less efficient, especially when I’m aiming for consistent cold therapy. The molds work fine for smaller coolers, but for my primary use—cold plunges—they fall short of being ideal. Overall, these molds are functional and well-made, but the lack of depth holds them back from being great. They’re okay for casual use or smaller cooling needs, but if you’re serious about cold plunges, you might want deeper molds. I’ll keep using them, but I’m on the lookout for a better option. Worth considering, but the shallow design is a letdown for serious cold therapy.

these silicon molds have very very thin walls and carefully placed, can just stand up to their own weight once mostly filled. I really should have put them in large trays first before filling & then transferring, because my deep freeze now has a lot of water freezing up from the insane levels of spillage in trying to transport just one of these ice "blocks" into place.
