ZHIYUN MOLUS G300[Official] 300W Bi-Color LED Light, 500W MAX Extreme Mode

I was using Aputure 300D Mark II lights for traveling and they’re too big and bulky. I picked these up and get the same quality light in a MUCH better space. Plus the Max mode gives me more light output when I need it. For me, size was the key and I can fit like 4 of these in the same space as the head/ballast I had been using. I wish the cables weren’t proprietary but not much you can do about that these days.

Su potencia, portabilidad y resistencia la convierten en una herramienta imprescindible en mi equipo de trabajo para producciones de video y fotografía. Una de las cosas que más destaco es su diseño compacto, especialmente para la potencia que ofrece. A pesar de su tamaño reducido, tiene una salida de luz impresionante que fácilmente compite con luces mucho más grandes. Esto la hace perfecta para trabajar en locaciones con poco espacio o cuando necesito movilidad sin sacrificar rendimiento. En cuanto a resistencia, ha soportado todo tipo de condiciones: cambios de temperatura, traslados constantes, y largas jornadas de rodaje. No ha mostrado ni una señal de desgaste, y siempre responde con total estabilidad. Se nota que está construida para durar. Lo que más me gusta es su versatilidad creativa. Tiene controles precisos, buena reproducción de color y compatibilidad con distintos modificadores gracias al adaptador Bowens incluido. Me permite iluminar retratos, entrevistas, escenas dramáticas o incluso fotografía de producto con resultados profesionales. Además, el control inteligente y la respuesta rápida hacen que trabajar con ella sea muy cómodo, especialmente en producciones donde cada minuto cuenta. Es una luz que no solo cumple, sino que eleva el nivel del set. En resumen, la Zhiyun MOLUS G300 ha sido una inversión más que acertada. Compacta, potente, resistente y versátil —lo tiene todo. Si estás buscando una luz confiable para trabajos serios en foto y video, esta es una opción que no decepciona.

This is not a vine paid for review. I actually bought one of these the day it was announced, and immediately flew with it to a series of interview shoots in Estonia and Germany. Not only did it help is keep weight down for the checked luggage, but it was a killer Key light on the shoot that fit into a small duffel along with two x100's and the power supplies. Buying two more when they're back in stock and they'll be our new standard travel lights. All three will easily fit into a pelican air carry on.

Love it. Just got done shooting at a 6 hour indoor event with the lights constantly running and had no issues. Having easy access to the adjustments panel was super helpful when the light was high up. I wish it came with a carrying case; it does not so 4 stars only for this. For the price you’d expect that Zhiyun have one (especially when the G200 comes with one). I was left using its original packaged box as the case. Would recommend it. Looking forward to trying it outdoor with a power bank.

Solid piece of gear with some great features. First off, the size and portability are awesome—it’s super easy to pack and carry around, which is a big win if you’re always on the go. The power it packs is impressive too. The ability to bump it up to 500W is just wild, and it doesn’t seem like it struggles at all (no limits on time from my testing). You can really light up a scene with this thing! But, there are a couple of downsides. The biggest one for me is the case—or lack of one. You basically have to keep the original box it came in if you want to store it or take it anywhere, which doesn’t feel very pro. I wish they had thrown in a proper case. Also, it runs hot. Like, really hot. Every time I use it on set, people start getting a little sweaty, which isn’t ideal. Overall, it’s a great light with a lot of power and portability, but it’s got some room for improvement, especially in the case department and heat management. Still, it’s worth considering if you need a powerful and portable light.

Beyond frustrated that a $600 light doest’t come with a case to store it. Really? Their G200 came with a case but not the G300..

Perfetta! Luce potente, compatta e davvero ben costruita. Ottima resa luminosa e qualità professionale, ideale sia per video che fotografia. Facile da usare e molto affidabile anche durante sessioni lunghe. Super soddisfatto dell’acquisto!

I'm by no means a professional photographer and I've never come across this brand before but I thought at this price point surely there has to be something going for it. It comes well packaged and is well made. It's compact, very powerful and easy to use.

I was slowly starting to gear up in order to build myself a small studio at home but i quickly realized that i wouldn't need to buy many LEDS and softboxes since this one provides so much light it can light up my entire room, the fans works super well at cooling it down and preventing it from overheating. It's definitely on the more pricey side but trust me it's worth every dollars!
