If you are unsure of how much water a plant needs or just keep forgetting to water your plants, buy this! We had a plant that was pretty much dying - as soon as we put this in, it came back to life a couple of days later! We had to refill it every 3/4 days, but the fact that it maintained a good level of water needed was a life saver! This product works wonders and I would definitely recommend it!

Works well for my purpose, watering a bonsai plant while on holiday. The water spreads throughout the planter (I use a meter to check moisture), and lasts about a week. The size was hard to envision, but the tube fitting into the planter is about 1/2" diameter, a bit large for my purpose, but workable.

They tend to soak the soil around the spike, it takes patience and persistence to get them to work properly. I honestly didn't have the time but it seems to be working as designed / prescribed. It will not make it possible to completely ignore your plants, so don't fool yourself. It is more of an "insurance" in case you neglect them for a couple of days. For vacations, long stretch of time away from plants, look elsewhere, this won't cut it.

It stopped working after 3 months outside (but it wasn't in the sun). Pots dried up but water was still in the tank. Worked well until then. I think they can improve upon this by making a wider wicker or have two wickers in case one fails. Also, the pot plug is a little too big to stick into a small pot.

Works best with traditional shape pots whether plastic, clay or ceramic, though it does fit some of my other ceramic pots. Slowly and continuously waters your plants as needed for days to a week or more. Does not over water. Great when on vacation. I have several in the 14 oz. size and the larger size for taller pots.

I bought these to water my plants while away this summer. They worked perfectly and kept the plants from dying.

Mine leak out of the neck sometimes and also the first few times I filled them up (I have five) the water practically drowned my plants because it came out too fast and too much. I could see the saucer beneath the pot full of water and the plant was soaked. I think it has stopped doing that now on the 4th refill, but I worry and watch it carefully. I'm not sure I'll be able to trust them for my 2 week trip.
