Soil Sifter, 11.8" Fine Mesh Stainless Steel Soil Sifter for Gardening, Compost Sifter with 4 Interchangeable Filter Mesh Sizes 3,6,9,12mm and Shovel, Soil Sieve for Sand Rocks Dirt Compost

This works great for filtering out good soil from the large weed clumps i pull up. It almost a 5-gallon construction bucket almost perfectly. It needs to be bigger around by about a 1/4”, to fit over the rim of the bucket to stay in place while sifting. Otherwise, works great and I love the different options for sifting.

For clarity: the 11.8” size refers to the bottom outer diameter, whereas a 5 gal bucket inner diameter is 11.15” so it will not fit inside. I’ve only ever needed this capability when washing sediment off rocks and wanted to collect the sediment so for my current application of sorting rock sizes it is not needed. The 3, 6, 9, 12mm measurements refer to each inside square hole side length, not the center-to-center wire grid measurement. The hoops fit snugly enough, the product is well made. I had to whack it hard after each sieving to get 1/2-stuck rocks out of the grid and it held up fine. Good value for the cost.

Would have been better with handles, but still a wonderful product otherwise. Sturdy and seems like it will last me quite a while. Thanks!

I bought these for sifting through my vermicomost. It’s perfect to sift the larger pieces out to return to the compost bin and leave the finer pieces in the raised herb beds which my vermicomost containment lives. Admittedly when these get dirty they’re a little difficult to get in and out of the main ring but that’s to be expected I guess and honestly not a problem, you just have to tap them aggressively to get them to come loose. I would recommend this product!

Nice that there are several different size screens (which are super easy to change). Good for coir or our clay dirt! Nice size, not too big so ok to use inside the greenhouse!
