Seems well put together. Haven't used it enough to know about the battery life, but boy this thing is bright....

I chose this laser in part because the description says it works even during the day. The beam seems to be long ranging at night, but even on an overcast morning, does not reach far when it is light out. I don't know if I got a repurposed/formerly returned item, but this laser is more like lasers I've had for a month or so, that seem to lose their strength/brightness, despite being fully charged. The casing on the one I have is blue, which makes it easy to find, and it's sturdy, but the beam is not any better than my old ones. I'm still searching for a good quality rechargeable laser that works during the day and doesn't lose power over time.

We tried to use this as a pointer at a large table and everyone around the table said it was just too bright to use as a laser pointer inside. We were all worried about damaging our eyes. It might be OK if used outdoors exclusively, like for camping or something. The distance is really quite far. But the store page also says it can be used for indoor fun like at parties. No way. It's way too strong and sure seems like it could easily blind someone if it accidentally hits somebody's eyes.

I purchased this for camping at Joshua Tree National Park next week. I tried last night in my home. It's stunning, bright, and visible in the sky. I can see the prominent green beam through the sky. I'm planning to show my kids where Big Dipper and Polar Star are.
