If you're buying this to use with some antiquated software that needs a com port then this won't do.I had an old pc running windows 95 to run an old machine, I wanted to replace the pc, so planned to run virtual box on win 11 and pass this com port through to the virtual machine, sadly though it doesn't work that way, it's too do with a real com port uses an irq address whereas this doesn't, it's affectively a virtual port.In the end I found a hp pc with a com port built in and that worked.

I like how the ports are pink and green coloured, most other products don’t have this. The power input is optional and works without it. Didn’t need to install any drivers on Windows 7 or Ubuntu Linux, but did on Windows 10. Device Manager sees it as three lots of “PCIe to Multifunction Peripheral Controller”, each with the driver installed providing access to one of the three ports (for the more technical among you). I couldn’t get the card to work on DOS using the configuration utility but this is probably a ‘me problem’.

Could not get this to work at all with a new Zoostorm PC with a freshly installed XP, despite hours of trying everything I could think of (don't bother posting suggestions please, I am a computer tech and know what I am doing, plus the problem is now solved anyway). It also wouldn't work in a 2 year old GigaByte Windows 7 PC.It was, bizarrely, recognised by a six year old Dell Inspiron running Windows 8, but useless as it wasn't the machine I actually needed it in!Three stars as it probably works with some machines, but not all. Maybe I had a duff one, but I wasn't taking chances on a direct replacement and I replaced it with a Newlink USB dual serial adapter NEWLink USB 2.0 to Serial D9 Dual Cable Adaptor - fitted and working within two minutes!

Alle Funktionen wie früher bei im PC integrierte Schnittstellen: bidirektional, sodass auch Dongel voll funktionieren (bei mir unter W7 64 bit prof.)

Comprata per cliente che ha sostituito un server (senza seriali ne parallele). Installata con Centos 7 e tutto funzionante senza nessuna particolare configurazione. Al massimo ( per i ttyS ) si risolve con setserial o stty. Provate sia le seriali che la parallela con stampanti e tutto bene.

I thought i would have had to buy two expansion cards, but this just made life easier for me. i installed this in my vostro 230 slim tower and it works great. comes with drivers and the quality is above what i expected. it comes with the extra risers which will fit your slim tower design. all you need is a little adjustable wrench to take off the bolts holding the riser and put on the smaller ones.

Très pratique pour retrouver 2 ports série et 1 parallèle quand il n'en existe plus avec les ordi.Et ça marche.

La carte fonctionne parfaitement sous windows 7 pour commander plein de petits montage électronique. Le site fournit une bonne documentation et les drivers.
