I would say that the colour in the picture is accurate to the end result. We used it on our floors and found a little goes a long way. We did two coats; the first would have been absolutely fine, but we wanted a deeper colour, and to ensure that the colour was an even as possible on our mixture of older floor boards. We have more than enough left over to do another two rooms. The stain was easy to apply, the instructions we're easy to understand. We actually used a mixture of cloths and brushes to get the desired effect and it worked great with both. We've then topped it with a satin varnish to protect it; the stain looks rich underneath and we couldn't be more pleased. We would recommend, and not hesitate to buy this colour/brand again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Good finish, lovely colour easy to use *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 October 2018* Pretty happy with the result - a nice grey colour with a hint of brown. Very easy to apply, and to wash up after. It's quite thin, so a little goes a long way - I'd recommend doing several light coats rather than slapping loads on at once.I think it will need a protective clear coat or probably will get scuffed easily. Also, don't panic when you're apply it - mine looked almost purple and I was a bit concerned, but it dried a lovely shade. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use. *by K***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 February 2019* Did a sample and it's not quite the colour I was looking for so not used it but did like the way it went on easily and the depth of colour increase with each layer. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/62276305-village-green-ready-to-use-wood-stain-wood-dye-28](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/62276305-village-green-ready-to-use-wood-stain-wood-dye-28) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
