A Great Holster at a Great Price
This is the 5th or 6th time I've purchased one of these holsters. They are so flexible. I've always ordered the holster that includes the paddle mount as well as the belt loops. I haven't found the paddle mount to be comfortable enough, but I may want that option at some time. Being able to quickly slide the "paddle" behind the waistband and belt and as easily removing it is definitely a great feature. The belt loop mount is also pretty fast to slide on the belt and doesn't put the hard plastic right against your "hip bone". Both mounts allow some flexibility in the how high the holster rides and the opportunity to significantly adjust the cant of the holster. Reversing the cant also allows the holster to be carried in a cross draw position. The retention feature means someone can't draw my pistol without me having something to say about that. The retention release lever is directly in line with the trigger finger, so as the release lever is depressed and the gun lifted the trigger finger naturally falls on the frame just above the trigger guard. There is a cut out on the leading edge of the holster which allows a slightly quicker draw if necessary. This holster and mount is made of very sturdy plastic material and is well designed and well made. It holds the gun close to the waist for concealment. I've purchased several Blackhawk products and found them to be reliable and durable. I will buy another of these holsters when I need one.Update: I've purchased another of these holsters for a new gun, a Springfield Armory Xdm 3.8 Compact in 9mm. First let me say that initially Amazon sent me the wrong sized holster. I immediately made arrangements to return the holster and ordered another in the correct size. The exchange couldn't have been easier. Amazon paid for the return and promptly credited my account for what I paid. As a Prime member the correct holster arrived two days later. When shopping for this holster I found Blackhawk does not list a holster for my gun, so I called Blackhawk and asked if they had a holster that fit the Xdm 3.8 Compact. I was told to order the size 07 and that it would be a little long but is the correct fit for my gun. I found that to be true. I wasn't too happy with the length of the holster, so using my band saw I cut 7/16" off and dressed the cut edges with fine sand paper. I rinsed the dust and sand from the entire holster and dried it before using it. The fit is perfect and I couldn't be happier.

You need one... or three!
This is, hands down and without a doubt, the best series of holsters on the market today. Believe me, I have wasted all of my money so that you don't have to! I have tried numerous different holsters, from different brands, different schools of thought, and different materials. I always go back to my Blackhawk! I have used these holsters, both on duty and off, in the level 2 and 3 retention systems, and both the paddle and belt loop configurations. I currently own several; for Glock 22 and Glock 27.As a firearms instructor, I have seen a lot of holsters used by many different people for many different purposes. These are the most intuitive, fastest drawing, and robust holsters out there. The retention system re-engages quickly and effortlessly, and on the level 3 it protects you from being locked out of the holster. The holster comes with everything you need, including both a paddle and belt loop attachment, the screws, belt hooks, and belt width spacers. The screws even come with a drop of thread locker on them! It arrives well-packaged and with detailed instructions. The holster allows you to cant the gun forward or rearward based upon preference. BTW, a slight forward cant aids with minimizing printing when carrying concealed, and is also quick-drawing. ;)Side note: when wearing this holster with the paddle attached, please don't put the paddle between your belt and your pants. It's supposed to go inside your pants. You look like a goof ball with the paddle sticking out... Too many people do this. I digress... :-)This is bar none the best CCW, on duty (consult dept. policy, of course), off duty, EDC, IDPA, USPSA holster going. You need one!

Great holster. Issued for work, bought one for home.
I have this holster already and ordered this one as a gift. The Serpa CQC holster is a standard issue work. I trust them so much that I own one personally. These are top quality. the holster fits snug, slim, and solid on the waist when used with either style mount. I prefer the paddle mount for the ease of adding and removing the holster. the paddle or belt mount will hold tight as long as your pants fit, and I would suggest wearing a belt with the paddle like an adult. the retention is great (and adjustable) and the draw is smooth and rapid with practice. The low cut on the holster makes for rapid proper weapon grip on the draw while still providing full trigger coverage. When holstering the weapon there is an audible "click" which adds assurance that your weapon is secured.

Great holster and secure
It holds my RockIsland STK100 snug and the finger safety latch keeps my side arm secure at all times.

Blackhawk serpa cqc for glock 17
I debated back and forth over the blackhawk serpa vs the fobus holster. I ended up going with the serpa because of the design. I am satisfied with the form and function of the holster although concealing it can be difficult at times. That being said I am carrying a glock 17 which is not exactly a small frame pistol. The paddle is the primary form I use vs the belt attachment. No complaints sliding the holster into place. It is a nice snug fit, and it doesn't seem to move once in place. I have no problems with the index finger release. Some say it is a safety hazard. I feel when used properly it sets your trigger finger up for appropriate indexing. I understand a quick draw for self defense but don't get ahead of yourself by lodging a bullet in your own limb. Use common sense and all is well. My reason for a 4/5 star rating is the slight movement I've noticed when the gun is holstered. The movement is front to back. Not a big deal but noticeable at times. I would recommend this holster for those who want more than a friction fit and would like the option of belt loop attachment as well as an included paddle attachment.

If it’s the gun very well
There may be better products out there, but the fact of the matter is for the price it’s very functional and very good
