Got my kiddo through the season without a hitch. No rips, no broken zipper, no sweat. Just warm enough without being getting hot, lightweight and good fit. Would definitely purchase again. Another winner from Amazon Essential! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Quality *by P***M on February 19, 2026* I purchased this jacket for my son, and it’s been a great buy. It’s lightweight but still provides enough warmth for everyday use. I also like that it’s packable and easy to store in a backpack, which makes it perfect for school. The fit is true to size, and the quality is impressive for the price. Definitely recommend! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lightweight and ready-to-go: a smart jacket for active boys *by J***N on November 18, 2025* I recently picked up this Amazon Essentials packable puffer for my two boys, and here’s how it performed: What I liked • The water-resistant shell gives real peace of mind for those unpredictable RVA days — from drizzle to windy walks to the bus stop. • It packs down neatly, which makes it perfect for stacking in the car, kid’s locker, or even slipping in a backpack. • Hooded design adds extra protection when you don’t expect it — great for early morning drop-offs or field trips. • Simple, clean style: pairs easily with jeans, joggers, and sneakers — so it works with Ezra’s more casual or “on-the-go” days. • Value: You’re getting a solid outerwear piece without breaking the bank — which means you’re free to buy multiples (love that for parenting budgets). What to know / minor caveats • While it’s water-resistant, it’s not fully waterproof or designed for heavy rainstorms. For all-out downpour or layering under snow-gear you may need a heavier jacket. • The “lightweight” design means it might not be as warm as a bulky winter coat in freezing temps — might be ideal for early fall / mild winter / layering rather than full‐blown snowstorms. • If your child wants a totally sporty or trendy piece (metallic finish, bold colour-block, etc.), this is more classic/basic — which is fine for everyday, but not “standing out” fashion. Overall thoughts This jacket is a very smart pick if you’re looking for everyday outerwear that works for school, errands, transitions, and family life. For a busy mom of three juggling property management + home services + family life, you need pieces that perform and don’t stress the budget — and this hits those boxes. I’d recommend it for kids who need something reliable for school & casual days, especially in a city like Richmond where we get that mixed weather. Would I recommend it? Yes — especially for the “just-grab-and-go” nature of mornings, and for layering when the temps dip. ## Frequently Bought Together - Amazon Essentials Boys and Toddlers' Lightweight Water-Resistant Packable Hooded Puffer Jacket - Amazon Essentials Babies, Toddlers, and Boys' Heavyweight Hooded Puffer Jacket - Amazon Essentials Girls and Toddlers' Lightweight Water-Resistant Packable Hooded Puffer Jacket --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/62265644-boys-and-toddlers-lightweight-water-resistant-packable-hooded-insulated-puffer](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/62265644-boys-and-toddlers-lightweight-water-resistant-packable-hooded-insulated-puffer) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-21*
