Because of the bend in the tip of the hook, there isn’t a ton of room between the shank of the hook and tip causing tough hook sets. They will catch cats, but not as reliably as a better designed hook

I got this and immediately put the hooks into my tackle box, which I am glad I did. Right after the box it came in fell and shattered, it was only a few feet off the ground. But the hooks work well, and I like them. I use them in freshwater, but they should work fine anywhere you want.

These are very nice hooks. Well formed and sharp in a good selection of sizes for freshwater and light saltwater use. They do have a bit of offset, which if not desired can easily be fixed with a set of pliers. They also come in a nice storage box to keep them organized.
