Matsato Kitchen Knife Leather Sheath for Japanese Steel Chef's Knife

The sheath arrived today and was a perfect fit for my Matsato knife. I should have gotten the sheath when I bought the knife, but didn't. These knives are super sharp and I didn't want to take a chance on it getting dull in the knife drawer or cutting someone, not aware. The sheath is well made and stitched and has a belt holder and strap that securely keeps the knife in place. If you buy the knife, I recommend also getting the sheath as well.

This knife was a gift for our son in law who loves to cook. He was very impressed with the knife. He liked the weight of the knife and really liked the metal used to make it.

Fits my knife perfectly, seems sturdy.

Exactly what I needed

The sheath is well made. The leather is nice and stiff, which is perfect. The snap was very tough to close at first, but is much easier to close after about 20 snaps.

"Rocking" shape makes this a great knife for chopping veggies and mincing herbs. Goes without saying it slices well too. I haven't had this knife long enough to know how well it keeps an edge but I feel it will compare well to knives I have that cost 4 times as much. Highly recommend

I got it for my hubby. He loves to cook, so I will relay his answer: “I LOVE it. It’s pretty Kool!”, so, he had me order another one, (for his mechanic that he’s had for years) different style, with a leather holder for it, (more a hunting knife, I think) & he was super stoked about it. He loved the knife & the fact that it had like a holster for it. He thanked my husband for taking special thoughts for a perfect gift! “Kudos”! 😄

The fit nice and tight, you had to push it a little farther to cover the end of the knife and the strap is very tight also. It is very inexpensive for the buy!!

Good item. Strong leather

I bought this for my Matsato Japanese chef’s knife, which is insanely sharp. Unfortunately, the knife didn’t come with a sheath, and after nicking my finger twice just taking it in and out of a drawer, I decided it was time to get one. This sheath fits the knife really well. The leather feels high quality, and the section that covers the blade is nice and thick, so I never worry about the blade puncturing through. The strap wraps around the handle and clips securely in place, so there’s no chance of the knife sliding out while it’s being stored or transported. It also looks great. The leather has a clean, premium appearance and pairs nicely with a Japanese-style chef’s knife. For around $28 CAD, I think it’s well worth it if you want to protect both your knife and your fingers. If you own a very sharp knife that didn’t come with a sheath, I’d definitely recommend picking this up.

Stupendo fodero originale per il coltello Matsato , buona la pelle e le finiture io l'ho preso per evitare di tagliarsi quando lo riponi nel cassetto , utile anche per caccia ed in esterno , prezzo non certo popolare . Qualità ok però si paga !
