I have mixed feelings on this one
Received my Bed Pocket yesterday, and while I think the idea is ingenious and the product a quality one, the frame is not an ideal fit for my mattress. If you have a really, really thick mattress, you'll probably love this thing. But mine is thinner than the one pictured here, so the Bed Pocket frame juts up a few inches above my mattress, making it impossible to hide this caddy with my comforter (which is why I bought it in the first place).PROSHIGH QUALITY workmanship and materials. The fabric is surprisingly thick and the seams are sewn very well - snug, straight, and no loose threads. The frame is sturdy and holds the pocket rigidly upright when installed; it was also easy and quick to assemble. (Clear instructions are included, but you probably won't need them.) The frame stayed securely in place underneath the mattress throughout the night even though I'm a major tosser and turner. I thought for sure it would have wiggled some, but it's still right where I left it.VERSATILE. There are a lot of pockets and a very handy, soft-but-sturdy, detachable cup holder off to one side.NO WEIRD SMELL! The Bed Pocket is entirely free of odors; you know that chemical off-gassing smell so many new products are saturated with? Not there! At all. Hallelujah!CORD CONTROL. I love the snapping straps on the back that corral the cords for my Kindle & MP3 chargers, the corded control for our adjustable bed, and my oxygen tube. Before last night, that ridiculously long, 25-foot tube was snaking across my nightstand and up one bed post in an effort to keep the nose piece end from falling to the floor without impeding air flow. U-G-L-Y. Well, no more. Now I have a handy, sanitary place (a top row pocket) to hold the nose piece end and the rest of the tubing stays tucked neatly behind the nightstand thanks to that snapping strap. Go, Bed Pocket!SAFE, CONVENIENT PLACE FOR EYEGLASSES. Well, safer than the top of my nightstand anyway. I devoted an entire top row pocket just for my glasses, so nothing will scratch them.CONSOnce the Bed Pocket was in place, I was disappointed to find it sticking up above my mattress a good 2 to 3 inches. And I thought I had a pretty thick mattress! It's a Select Comfort Sleep Number bed and all the extra deep sheets I buy for it strain to stay on. Well, apparently there are MUCH thicker mattresses than mine out there, like the example bed pictured here. In the photos, that Pocket rests a good 4-5" lower than the top of the mattress, which is why I wanted this particular bed caddy in the first place - to be able to hide it and its contents, mostly bump-free, underneath my comforter. Well, no such luck. This thing makes my bed look like it's wearing a one-legged jodhspur! Not the look I was going for. This morning as I made the bed, I had to tuck part of the comforter between the mattress and the Bed Pocket. Not pretty and adds a really annoying extra step to my bed-making routine. An insignificant first-world problem to be sure, but still annoying. Then there are the pockets. The deep center pocket is perfect for holding a couple of magazines and my Kindle. If I had a tablet, that would also be a good place for it. No problem there. But given the Bed Pocket frame sticks up above my mattress, I can't store my long, bulky, TV & bed remotes or my tall bottle of lotion in the top row pockets. The pockets are big enough to hold those things, but the remotes and bottle are taller than the pockets are deep, leaving them poking their heads out a couple inches above the Bed Pocket frame. Which looks stupid. I ended up putting the remotes in the center pocket with my Kindle, but had to take out the magazines. The tall lotion bottle fits perfectly in the cup holder.I wish that row of shallow pockets along the bottom were replaced with fewer, deeper pockets, or two wider, but still shallow pockets. They're kind of a weird size. Great for my Chapstick, ponytail holders, earrings, and a compact mirror but a little too shallow for my older, long, bulky, bed and TV remotes. If yours are fairly compact the lower pockets should be fine. I can push ours in there, but they don't seem very secure.SUMMARYAm I going to keep it? Yes. For now. Is it ideal? No. But neither are any of the other options on the market. Whether or not the Bed Pocket will work for you depends entirely on what you want to keep in it, the thickness of your mattress, and how important hiding the thing is to you.

This may have saved my marriage
Do you and/or someone sharing your bed suffer from hot flashes and insomnia? Let me unload my medical history - a few years ago I went through chemo and menopause at the same time. Might as well get it all out of the way at once. With the resulting joint pain, we invested in a Tempurpedic adjustable bed to ease some of the agony. I bring this up because it resulted in 4 remote controls - 2 for the TV and one each for the bed. And as my eyesight deteriorates, I need glasses to watch stuff on my iPad after we're done with the TV because I can't sleep due to fluctuating hormones. Add chemo-brain and ditsy menopausal memory loss, and I don't know from one moment to the next where I put everything down. Until I get a hot flash, throw off the covers, and everything goes flying around and/or off the bed and/or hits the cat and/or my husband. But I digress... I LOVE this caddy - all the gadgets and glasses are at my fingertips and I haven't lost or dropped any of them since I installed it. I have it on the side just like you see in the photo, and the whole thing moves without dumping anything as I raise & lower the bed. The pockets are roomy enough that you don't have to squeeze anything in to fit, and perfectly sized so nothing falls out. If you've enjoyed this descent into a chapter of my old age, be sure to read my other reviews, especially those fascinating rantings about my bunions.

Nice, needs to be a shorter
This is a nice caddy, seems sturdy and it doesn't seem too bulky. I read reviews that stated the item is too tall for their bed, so I knew this would be too tall for my mattress as well, but it looked like the best caddy compaired to the others I've looked at so I thought I may be able to alter it.After seeing how it goes together I decided that a simple fix would be to cut the long frame down to about 10" (can't go less because of cross bar). Then I cut the side slits longer so the caddy would fit all the way down on the frame. I had to sacrifice the cup holder, but I didn't much care for that part anyway. I wouldn't use it as I set my drinks on the nightstand next to me. I bought 2 caddys - one for each side (king bed) and secured them to each other so they won't pull out of the mattress. The altered version sits a few inches lower on the bed but that's ok with me as well.It was a simple quick solution and now the caddy fits perfectly on the side of my mattress. Not sure why they only make a version for deep mattresses, but a shorter version definately would be a five star product for me.

Great item
This has become one of my favorite gadgets. I bought my husband one for his birthday and then bought another one for me. It slides into the side of your bed and has a lot of compartments for all your remotes and anything else you need/want bedside. We have an adjustable bed, and this remote caddy works wonderful with our bed. We have a duel adjustable bed so we each have a caddy on our own sides. It goes up and down with the adjustable bed. It does stick up on the sides though and I wish it wasn't so high, but that's about the only negative I could say about this caddy. It really does work great and it's light and easy to install. There was nothing to put together. You just took it out of the box and then slide it under your top mattress and it's ready to go. I can even hang my water bottle in one of the pockets so it's easy to drink water without getting up. It's worth every penny.
