This is a great larger sturdy safe for the money. I was overall pleased with the purchase. Came packed well and having experience with safes this is a good one. You can open with a key or program the digital pad. There are two shelves and it has plenty of room if you need a larger safe.

I recently purchased the 1.2 Cu Ft Home Safe, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The construction is robust, featuring a 50mm explosion-proof steel door, three 20mm solid locking bolts, and concealed hinges, providing excellent protection against unauthorized access. The spacious interior easily accommodates important documents, jewelry, and other valuables. The programmable digital keypad is intuitive, and the inclusion of backup keys offers added peace of mind. Additionally, the option to bolt the safe to the wall or floor enhances its security. Overall, this safe offers a perfect blend of security, capacity, and ease of use. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking reliable protection for their valuables.

Pros: Very affordable and large. It has removable shelves. I liked the three different options of opening (2 keys, make your own code, and an extra external battery pack). I like the security measures of it not working for a few minutes if a wrong code is entered. I am not so sure that it is fireproof or waterproof, but as extra precaution we bought separate waterproof bags and fireproof bags. One 8 x 13 fireproof/waterproof bag and a larger fireproof/waterproof briefcase to put the smaller waterproof bags in (hey, can't be too safe! we like the extra layers of protection). We like that you can screw it to your wall so no one can walk away with it. The screws are very big and substantial which is great. I suggest screwing it to a stud instead of using the anchors. The turn knob/latch seems sturdy. I bought a previous well-known brand and the latch seemed sketchy as if it may break. Cons: The metal sides and back seem thin (like someone might be able to drill through it or cut it opened if they worked at it) but screwing it to the wall should help with that. People can't just walk away with it if it is secured to the wall, and I highly doubt thieves would spend time working on it in a house they are robbing. The shelves are removable, but not adjustable.

Needed a safe for my child who is going off to college soon. After relentless researching all the safes on here, I went with this one. It is perfectly sized, not too heavy so we can move it but not so light where someone can steal it. The instructions were thorough and easy to follow. I like that there’s an extra battery pack in case the batteries die when you’re trying to open it. When you close the safe, it’s important to remember to turn the knob as the door does not automatically lock upon closing. The material is sturdy metal, and the item arrived perfectly intact with no dents or dings. Tells me this is solid material. Glad I chose this safe.

Fire hazard - do not buy this product. During the install I put in the 4 x AA batteries and the battery pack immediately began to smoke. I accidentally touched the connecting wire (before I realized what was happening) and received a small burn on my finger because within second the entire battery unit was extremely hot. I called customer service requesting just a battery pack replacement but Amazon asked for the device back so they could investigate. Probably a good thing. So good on Amazon, bad on the manufacturer of this safe. My bad, I should have bought a brand name safe.

Nice big safe. Big upgrade from my 1 cubic meter. Setup was super easy except for opening the battery case and one of the springs for the batteries was bent down, so I had to use a knife to lift it up while putting in the battery. Other than that it all works lovely and it’s great for hiding what I need to hide.
