Beautiful Color
I tried this on white first. It barely showed up. The directions say use black primer first and you really have to do that. I tried it over dark navy on another project and it was pretty but not as good as black. It is awesome ! I got it in all colors available. My yard art and pots are getting a makeover.

Great value on an excellent product
My wife purchased this for a special project we have been working on. We used it to paint our Headboard with. We found an old headboard at a thrift store for ten dollars, painted it black (After sanding For-ev-er!!), and then we were going to use it to highlight the edges. Well, we liked it so much, we painted the entire headboard with it.. Now, Much depends on the lighting... If it's not in direct light, it look totally Black.. But the minute light hits it, Break out the Disco Ball because it looks FANTABULOUS!!... It looks So professional it will blow your mind. It is easy to apply, dries fast between coats. For the money you cannot beat it. I HIGHLY recommend this product. Wait, one thing I want to mention, You need to spray a Clear coat on top of it to really make it pop. It made all the difference. I used Three coats of clear gloss, and it added that finishing touch!

Great to fix the fireplace lid!
This spray paint looks awesome when finished. The color shift effect really stands out and changes depending on the lighting and angle, which gives projects a unique look. It sprays evenly and goes on smooth as long as you use light coats. Using a black base definitely makes the effect pop more. Great for custom projects if you want something different from standard paint.

Just the right green to copper iridescent sheen
I wanted to find a color shift aerosol spray green-to-copper paint for my 3D strutting Tom decoy. I used a light coating over the chest and part of the back with good results. I followed this with a flat black acrylic “wash” and tipped the feathers with flat black paint for added detail. This resulted in just the right amount of iridescent sheen needed.

Gorgeous but tricky
Gorgeous, but use care. ALWAYS use black base coat. I tested without the black base and it was just a yucky shade of gray. So I used the base and the color was gorgeous but the surface was bubbled/pitted in some areas. Consulted AI and it seems that a normal spraying method just won't do. I didn't paint heavily - I'm very careful - but this paint requires multiple, very thin mistings. Wish I'd known this before! So I'm going to strip the paint, use the base and paint again. It's a beautiful color so is worth it to me.

Great way to breathe new life into an old bicycle!
Tl;dr - Do your prep work, follow the instructions, and be proud of your results! Read on for my full review including supplies and tips. My oldest has been riding an adult-sized bicycle since she was maybe 8- or 9-years-old. It’s the same bike she’s still been riding now at 16, though it’s been looking pretty worse-for-wear these days. I couldn’t see buying a new one, since she liked hers just fine and it still worked well. So we spent the money restoring it instead. She chose this paint in the Green-Copper finish. It looks AMAZING! We paid about $22 for two cans of this paint, and about $50 for the primer, clear enamel, and the sandpaper - a good value opposed to a new bicycle, thus also saving a perfectly good item from the junkyard. I can’t speak to the durability yet, but we sprayed over this color-shift paint with several light coats (about three full coats) of clear enamel to protect it and then let the full finish cure for a week before reassembling the bike. I hope that preserves the finish for some time. Here’s what we used for her 26” cruiser-style bike which included the frame, fork, fenders, and chain guard (all products purchased on Amazon): - 3M Wetordry 600-grit automotive sandpaper - 2 cans Rust-OleumPainter’s Touch 2X Ultra Cover Flat Black Primer - 2 cans Rust-Oleum Color Shift Paint in Green-Copper (this product) - 2 cans Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel Other items we used: razor blade scraper for decal removal, painter’s tape, N95 respirator masks, and vented safety goggles. Tips for success: - Even though we worked outside, this paint seemed like it had particularly strong fumes, so we still wore goggles and masks. - Do a good job on your prep work - scraping and sanding until very smooth; very nearly or down to the metal before priming, and definitely use two coats of flat black primer. The multi-faceted finish of this color-shift paint brings out any boo-boos you make. There were a few spots we noticed afterward that we wished we’d paid a little more attention to. That said, they were barely noticeable unless you looked really closely. We’re perfectionists, for perspective. - Though we used just over a can of primer for two coats, and about a can-and-a-half of clear enamel for 3 coats, we used the entirety of both cans of this specialty paint and it just *barely* covered the frame to our satisfaction - about two light coats. In the future, I would err on the safe side and buy a third can. - This paint is very thin and runny. Follow the directions and paint about 14”-16” inches away from your project or it runs and drips leaving streaky results in the paint job. - Shake the can THOROUGHLY before starting, and shake nearly CONTINUOUSLY between sprays, otherwise the glittery particles can obstruct the nozzle, leading to chunky droplets and drips in your paint job. If you’re curious, the cream-walled brown tires, the brown wire baskets (both front and rear), grips, seat, cup/phone holder, and triangular frame bag were all purchased through Amazon as well.
