One of my favorites in the series
This is one of my favorite pairings in the series. Tragic Madoc, traumatized Nika, The quest to save her sister. Not only did this have a great love story, it had a great side-story with them trying to find Tori.I also really like the side story with Torr and Grace. I'm hoping we get a full book about them. It's like a teaser, we get just enough to get us attached to the characters.I think these books are a great series. It would be hard to jump in and read these out of order, or read this as a stand-alone. You need the back story to truly understand whot he Sentinel are, what they stand for, and how they're paired up.I can't wait for the next book!

Incredible
The world that has been created in these books, in this series, is simply incredible! I had no idea, after reading the first book in the series, that I would be this hooked, this hard, and this fast! I will not stop reading until I get through the whole series, and then I will beg for more!

I love this series.
I have read a lot of paranormal romance and it isn't often I read an entire series do to boredom. This series has a lot of action, romance, and a variety of characters. You will fall each of the hero's and feel for the heroine. You will root for the good guys and really dislike the bad guys. The only flaw I have found is the combination of all the other stories on the sideline. Simply because I would love to read their stories also. Great books.

Not her best but still worth reading
The latest in Ms. Butcher's book and long awaited by me. The first starts out with Nika digging up the supposed grave of her younger sister Tori, Madoc is called and informed. He refuses to go after Nika but finally gives in. Then the sexual tension builds, Madoc is sure Nika isn't his mate because his lucera isn't glowing for her. Nika is sure that Madoc is her mate and willing to find a way to make it so.These two go back and forth, great building of tension then...poof. Nada. *SPOILER* They talk about Tori, going after her then after they become mated, they rescue Tori. How? When? What happened? The entire book is about saving Tori & saving Modoc. More like it's a set up for Tori's book and the ring that is keeping the men's last leaf from completely falling is what is causing them to not find their mate. You'll have to read to understand that part!According to the preview at the end of the book, Tori's story isn't next. So my questions will remain unanswered for who knows how long?Still it's a great read and I'm glad that Madoc found his mate.

Complex plot keeps me fascinated
This one is the story of Madoc and Nika (Andra's sister from prior books). Madoc believes he is past saving, but he is not. It takes Nika a while to get through to him, but she finally does. She has a more unusual talent than some of the other Theronai females, and I won't spoil it by telling it.What is never explained well is why the other warriors' touch hurts Nika. Maybe that point is just not important? What does come to light is a lot of information about Angus and Gilda, and by extension Maura and Sibyl. A new chapter opens up there. We are also introduced to two new females, and learn more about the Sanguinar. They are much more human in this one, leading up of course for the next book. We learn about the mysterious Lullaby Project referenced in prior books. So, as usual, some mysteries are explained and more are revealed. I still love this series. It just seems to get better and better. There are so many interwoven story lines and characters, I'm just amazed at this author's talent to keep all of them going and interesting without being overwhelming for the reader. 5 star read for me.

Fantastic series!
Absolutely love this series! The men are sexy, the women are wounded but tough, and pretty much all the characters get their story told throughout the series. Just enough sex to make it steamy, but not so much that it's literary porn. This is all within a supernatural story line with magic, monsters, and an epic war. Love it and can't wait for the next book in the series!!!

Exciting
This a exciting series and the scenes between the main characters are ..well..... I have no words on how to describe those ( I’ll just say intense to say the least) intense, very explicit! Whew!!! Makes me won’t to go find my husband and spend some time together.🥰

Enjoyable
Nothing much to say here, if you have read any of the other books you should be satisfied with this one as well. It is not a work of literature but I do enjoy her books, this one is my favorite yet! Its a good series to read to just step away from real life. Just enough supernatural and enough romance to keep the book entertaining. I do recommend it.
