I just installed the Momo Prototipo yesterday and I have not had a chance to drive the car yet so I cannot give any "driving" impressions. However, here are some thoughts about the quality of the wheel and the difficulty/ease of installation.I love the aesthetic qualities of this wheel. The design is a simple tri-spoke. The wheel is flat so there is no dish. The horn button is small and simple but ultimately serves its function. The "Prototipo" engraving is appropriate and not overwhelming. The leather is expertly wrapped around the wheel. You can see the seams on the back side of the wheel where the leather is glued but the glue job is smooth and clean. You can tell it is hand-sewn because the stitches are not perfectly straight. That might bother some but for me it's just fine. Finally, the combination of Momo steering wheel and steering hub are noticeably lighter than my stock steering wheel.The installation was extremely simple since I do not have an airbag in my 1987 BMW e28 535is. The install took about 10 - 15 minutes. I just cranked my wheels straight ahead. I marked the forward position on the steering spindle with a pen and then I lined up the steering hub which has a position marker labeled "Top". Then it was just 6 allen bolts to lock the wheel to the hub 7 nm (torque spec), followed by tightening the steering column spindle nut to secure the steering hub to the steering column spindle. Finally, I connected a single black wire from the steering hub to the back of the horn and there is a brass spring that contacts the hub to serve as the ground. Presto and done!

Fits great on my 86 Porsche 911. Easy install. I bought a $20 Porsche crest center button for the horn, but it did not fit, so I suggest spending the extra money on a good one. The steering wheel came with a Momo center button, so I used it and am happy with it. I also purchased the Momo steering L231 Steering Wheel adapter. I think it is required for the installation but double check. I've had my 911 for 19 years and can't believe how great this steering wheel feels in my hands compared to the stock steering wheel. It has changed my driving experience immensely, and I wish I had purchased it sooner.

Installed the Momo Prototipo along with an NRG short hub and quick release in my 2006 Jeep TJ and I couldn’t be happier. The overall quality of the steering wheel is very high and the fit and finish of the materials are great. The wheel is smaller and much lighter than the stock one I replaced.I’m glad I went with Momo and not some cheap knock off.Definitely worth my money.

This is a to my eyes a genuine Momo wheel. If you look at the instructions in the box you will see that the allen screws, hub and horn ring must be purchased separately as per the norm for Momo. A horn button is included however.

Do NOT buy used. I got a fake and used one, and had to return it.

Especially if you have an older car with no airbag, stepping up to a Momo wheel is a great upgrade. The wheel is just the right thickness and the leather is grippy. This model is particularly well suited to air-cooled Porsches since Porsche race cars like 904s sported them back in the day. Easy to install. I paired mine with a spacer that pushes the wheel up and out a bit, for a more comfortable reach.
