I like the look of it, particularly from a distance, but the "satin/nickel" makes it sound like it is metal. It is actually fabric with a plastic "gold" insert around the inside that shows a substantial seam. The white "glass" is plastic. Not sure it's worth the cost except that it filled a need for an entryway with a low ceiling. If it were actually metal and glass I would be over the top excited. It's VERY bright so we're trying a dimmer and I'm hoping that makes me like it more. ### ⭐⭐ Too expensive for what it is (cheap plastic look) *by J***. on Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2018* We kept the lamp, but I can't say we're thrilled by it.It way too expensive for what it is. And it's a shame, because the design looked really promising online!The main problem is the center. You'd expect it to be glass, which would look very nice! But it's actually cheap plastic, and it shows. It looks really cheap for that reason... I don't know how it will age, I expect not gracefully...As mentionned, we decided to keep it despite this.
