These rain boots were worth every penny. Arch support is enough to stay comfortable all day, but not so much that it becomes a pain. The fit is as I expected. However, be careful if the size you order is a bit bigger than your foot - the lining tends to make socked feet slip around a lot inside.I did fieldwork in these boots. These are not your average pair of cheapie boots. My partner and I used two pairs of those for about half a day before ending up with soaked socks. These boots finished the job, day after day, with no wet feet unless I went in water up to my knees. (Yes, they're that tall! And I'm 5'10 and leggy!) They have clambered over more rocks than many hiking boots, been submerged for hours in a lake, helped me climb up and down a wet and muddy mountain, and generally just seen more than their fare share of abuse. And after all that? They still look fine and feel comfortable. The smell is going to take some work, but my feet are to blame for that, not the shoes. I would definitely buy them again, but I don't need to, because they still work great!

These boots were delivered February 1. I wore them for around an hour most days while taking the dog for a walk - until today. Initially I was very happy with them - they fit well, were reasonably comfortable and a decent height for wading through the nearby stream ... however ... one boot started leaking just over a month ago, and now both boots are useless as they both leak and have developed large splits in the rubber half way up the shaft. The rubber seems to be thin and fragile, not made to stand up to much at all. Very disappointed ... and annoyed with myself that I didn't put the money I spent on these inferior boots towards a better quality pair that would last a lot longer than 3½ months!

Love these boots! Fit is good. i wear a 7.5 so the 8 is a little big, but not so much that it slips on my foot, and a pair of thick socks take care of that whole-size-only problem. And the height is perfect. I tried some mid-calf boots, but actually got mud on my pants anyway, maybe it was just me being clumsy, but i like that i can put my pants in all the way up to my knee.These are no shiny, which i found in another boot to look really bad when you actually get mud on them...and yes, i know they are mud boots so does it really matter what they look like? Did to me. I think the look is very "My boots are stylish, but they can get muddy too."The adjusting strap is perfect. i have slim calves, so i wish it would tighten just a bit more, but having any way to make them fit better and not flop around is awesome.

For some reference, I bought fleece boot socks to wear on the inside of these. I agree with several reviewers on the sizing of these boots. They run a 1/2 size small in the shoe. I have small calves (about 13") and with the fleece socks in they fit comfortably with the adjustable strap pulled all the way tight at the top. I'm 5'1" and these boots come up below the knee, so I get good leg protection from puddle splashes. I wear a 6.5 women's shoe size, and the size 7 was the right choice.They don't have great arch support, so while I can wear them a few hours for walks around town, my arches definitely feel a bit sore afterwards. Anyone with arch problems would need an insert for these. The ankle is pretty wide, so there's an annoying bending feeling when you walk, but not so bad that it chafes my ankles. They aren't a stiff rubber, so you can flex your foot a bit in them (makes it easier for driving in them!)All in all, I love these boots! Order the next size up from your regular shoe size and get some fleece boot socks to go inside and these are perfect for a wet day outside!

Not what I was expecting!! The first time I wore them both back straps broke off. They were not really a necessity for me size wise, but my hopes of buying these and wearing them with a nice outfit went out the window. If you are on the smaller side ( I am 5'2'' and 110 lbs), the boots will be a little large ( high and heavy). I also anticipated them to be a dark blue based on the photo, but they were a lighter blue I didn't care for. Nonetheless, I just cut the broken back straps off, and continue to wear them on very wet and muddy days when I am hiking or cleaning up a natural area. I have stepped in the creek with them many times and my feet are always dry at the end of the day. I don't recommend them if your trying to make a fashion statement. However, if you want a pair of yuck boots to stomp around in the mud, these are just right for the price.

They are perfect for what I need, to use to go clam digging. Contrary to some negative reviews about color, condition etc these came as a brand new pair of good, quality rain boots. No discoloration, or defects that I can see. They fit true to size, I wear anywhere from a 7.5 to an 8 and I bought an 8 and these fit really well and I’ll be able to put thick cozy socks. Excellent value for the price especially since I was shopping for Hunters. Also so not a fashion statement but I think I made a smart decision as they will be very useful. I’m happy with my purchase.

I went by the reviews on these and ordered them. I ordered up to a 9 from my normal 8.5, the foot bed is far too big and the calf is too small for my 16" calves. Height is great, and the adjustable back makes them fit don't but it looks all bent up and ugly at the ankles. Poorly fitting, I'm returning them.

Love these boots. These actually look like the Hunter boots I wanted, and the gray color is great it goes with a lot of clothes that I wear. I wear a size nine and I decided to buy a size nine hoping there would be no issues. I was so happy the I tried them on with socks and they still fit great. It is a bit narrow at the ankles but once you jiggle your foot in there it fits comfortably no pain or anything. I have worn them twice all day during the rain. Very durable material and they look very nice.I also love the fact that the adjustment for the calf is at the back so it makes fixing it to your liking very easy. So happy I purchased these. I have gotten many compliments while wearing them.
