Difficult to know how well it works without taking your machine apart.
It is difficult to know how well these work unless your remove your washing machine drum. The drum appears clean and has a clean smell. My drum was stained from using black dye. The product did not remove the black dye stains in my machine.

I love these I use them after I wash my guinea pigs reusable bedding and it gets all the urine smell out of my washer and cleans it well so I can wash my clothes and they come out clean and smelling good
