I was honestly impressed when I opened this pirate chest. The wood has a great finish, the craftsmanship is excellent, and it looks even better in person. It has that classic treasure chest look that makes it perfect for decorations, gifts, or storing keepsakes.The only minor downside is the included lock. It works, but it feels a little cheap and can be a bit finicky to line up. It doesn't take away from the chest itself, though, since the quality of the wood and overall construction more than make up for it.If you're looking for a decorative pirate chest with a lot of character, I highly recommend this one. It looks fantastic and feels like something that'll last for years.

This chest is beautiful and very sturdy, made with real wood and metal. The lock feature is nice and the key works pretty well. It took a while to arrive but was well worth it. It is not the cheapest option, but I feel like a got what I paid for. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a chest. I'll be using it to store my candy in my classroom.

I recently purchased this treasure chest and I am so impressed with the detail and craftsmanship, It's a real treasure chest! Even comes with a working padlock to secure your treasures. Initially, my padlock didn't work. I got it open but then the key just spun in the lock. I sent an email to the customer support department and they responded right away! The day after my email, I had the new mini padlock. Now THAT's customer service! Thanks John.The color is what you'd expect from a treasure chest and it's made of real wood with wood stain. Perfect condition. Good hinges. I added pieces of eight and doubloons and glittering jewels to the box and now it's a proper pirate chest.

Does as expected. Keyed Lock works. There are some flaws - missing rosette applique on the top, chains are not in alignment so one is taut and the other is slack, lid is not in alignment with the bottom - this is a present so it is acceptable at this time, but if it gets worse...

I love the detail. Well built and the lock and keys are a great touch. We got this to fill with “pirates treasure” for my granddaughter to find on vacation with her grandpa and his metal detector. It will be such a perfect fun adventure for them!
