OPINELEssentials Kitchen Knife Box Set - Olive Wood

Quality products. Would buy again.

These are great knives: quality steel, very sharp, and beautiful olive wood handles. However there was a quality control issue with the paring knife. The tang was not set straight in the handle and as a result, the tip of the tang sticks up out of the handle. It's only about 1 mm, but it's *very* sharp. (see photo)I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift. We thought about returning the set and ordering another, but the set is currently not in stock. Hubby said he could file the sharp edge down with a metal file, so we're keeping it. But it's a little disappointing.This was probably just a fluke, and like I said, otherwise these are great knives.

Opinel quality for the knives... look good and cut great. Not so much on the peeler. Poor design. You can peel a potato better and easier with one of the knives.

I bought them as a gift but the recipient was delighted.
