Punches way above its price point!
If you're into 1/10 scale drifting, the Hobbywing Quicrun 10BL120 ESC is an absolute must-have! I’ve been using this ESC for a few weeks now, and it has completely transformed my drifting experience.First off, the performance is outstanding. The throttle control is smooth and precise, which is crucial for maintaining those long, controlled slides. It handles the power distribution perfectly and gives me the confidence to push my car to the limit. Whether I'm on a track or just doing some freestyle drifting, the response is instant, making it super fun and easy to control. One of the best things about the 10BL120 is how tunable it is. There are multiple parameters you can adjust to match your driving style, such as punch control, brake strength, and even drag brake settings. This level of customization allows me to fine-tune the car for maximum control and performance. The build quality is excellent as well. It feels solid and durable, ready to handle the vibrations and stresses of drifting. The installation was straightforward, and the compact design fits perfectly into my 1/10 scale chassis without taking up too much space. The value for the price is incredible. The features you get at this price point are hard to beat. It's not the most expensive ESC out there, but it delivers a performance that rivals higher-end models, which makes it a great deal for any serious drifter looking for quality without breaking the bank.Overall, the Hobbywing Quicrun 10BL120 ESC is a fantastic investment for anyone serious about 1/10 scale drifting. The precise control, durability, and customization options make it an essential part of my setup. I highly recommend it to anyone in the hobby!

Solid Esc for the price
Definitely is a go to when i dont have a lot to spend on an esc. Hobbywing is always a dependable choice and is significantly better than most rtr escs. It handles powerful motors pretty well as long as you dont go nuts with over gearing. Sensored motors are very smooth running and take off without cogging. Plenty of motor and batt wire length. Wish it came with bullet connectors for motor. Great esc for most 2wd 1/10th bashers.

Hobbywing is in 4 of my 7 rc cars.
I finally finished my project build. When the instalation of the electronics was complete I checked everything . All was good. The calibration process did not work! I tried it over and over and even with two other radios. It just would not calibrate. The other radios work in other models with the same brand name esc. The decision was to return for replacement. Amazon made that good but I havent received the replacement yet. More later.

Hard to beat for the price
Bang for buck, you can't beat these esc's. I ordered this one for a ClodBuster build and have several G1s and G2 10BL60's in everything from monster trucks and bashers to breakout pan cars to drift cars. The G2 adds adjustable boost and motor direction for motors with a sensor wire, perfect for a MoA build.

My new go-to sensored ESC
I got this to control a 4.5-turn (7800KV) 2-pole sensored brushless motor in my Team Associated RC10B74 4WD buggy on 2S LiPo. It replaces a Castle Sidewinder 4 and a 3800KV 4-pole sensored brushless motor. The 4.5-turn motor is rated to pull 109 amps and this is too much for the sensorless Sidewinder 4, so I had a need for another ESC. I chose this one because it is rated for 120 amps continuous and 760 amps peak current. Beefy. In my short runs so far, the ESC has remained cool to the touch, and the low speed control with sensored operation has been buttery smooth with the minimum speed for my setup being below walking speed.I am using a 78-tooth spur gear and a 19-tooth pinion with a 2.5:1 main drive ratio, for a final gear ratio of 10.26:1. I use the default off-the-line power setting of "7" and my RC10B74 has no bad habits off the line. I may try upping that setting to see if I can get any bad habits to arise.I use the LCD programmer Pro to program this ESC, as I could not imagine programming this ESC with the button on the power switch and the transmitter while keeping track of the beeps to know where I am in the process. With the LCD Pro programmer, each setting of the ESC is written out in the LCD screen and you select that setting to get the list of options, again written out; for example "forward w/braking" or "forward w/reverse and braking". Easy as pie as there is no referencing the list in the manual of setting 1, option 1 etc; it's all written out in the LCD Pro programmer.

Buy it!
Great ESC, $50 is a steal compared to most especially 120A escs.

Great ESC for drifting
This seems to be the best budget minded sensored/brushless ESC on the market right now. It's not as good as units 3-4 times it's price point, but I would wager most people won't actually be able to notice a difference. It's quiet, but stays cool even on super hot days on blacktop. Paired with a sensored motor it has plenty of adjustability. It's literally everything you need for a great drift setup.

Great esc!
Another great product from hobbywing. This is my first sensored esc and learning all of what you can do is really cool. I’ve used their ezrun nonsensored esc and love them so wanted to check out what the fuss is about sensored and yes there’s a big difference with tuning
