1.2m New Replacement Audio upgrade Cable Stereo Cord For AKG k490 NC K545 headphones

I recently purchased AKG K545 headphones because of manufacturer's claim that this model has better base than other AKG headphones (I own 3 other models - all with great mids and highs but thin on base). While the K545 indeed had better base, it was still weak in relation to the other great attributes and improvements it presents. It became frustrating after more than 100 hours of "break-in"Left wanting, I looked read all the user reviews and found none that addressed the weak base issue. I then thought of replacing the stock multi-function cable with one that was dedicated to only one purpose: strictly music - no phone function, no volume control. I found this product and am happy with the results: the base came alive and I now perceive music much better. These docile headphones actually bloomed - aggressive when they need to be.I had prior experience with your product line - I replaced the stock cables of my Sennheiser HD 558 and HD 598 because these were designed for home use (1/4 inch plug). Your replacement cables enabled me to use these magnificent headphones with portable devices. Likewise, the sond bloomed. Thank You!

Doesn't stay firmly lodged in the two jacks (one in the headphone, one in the device), so the sound occasionally will come and go in an annoying fashion. Otherwise, it's fine.

It looks well built but I started losing one of the channels after one month of use.

Simply brilliant. Just received my order and plugged it in. The construction, look, and sound quality of this cable are remarkably better than the original. I especially like the screw-on adapter.

Works great and though it sounds dumb to me, it sounds better than the old cable I had.

These work great with my AKG K490NC's. A bit more bass and a bit more volume than the originals.
