Purchased this as I chipped the rear of a tooth that was difficult for me to see in a normal mirror. Although this item is quite inexpensive, it worked well and let me see the damage Initially it steamed up, so I warmed it up under the hot tap, that helped get a clear view.

Both worked fine, were well made with working lights and clear mirrors. Good value for money.

Does what it says on the tin, very satisfied.

Can I say I have bought so much stuff from Amazon & most of it is junk to be fair but this is the best money I’ve spent so far!I had a very difficult extraction done a week ago and have tried a dozen ways to take a photo of the tooth socket to see if all is well.It’s comical the ways I’ve held the camera and even tried putting my phone in my mouth to get a clear photo but yesterday I hit upon the genius idea of seeing if Amazon sell dentist mirrors… I followed all the high reviews till I landed here!Small compact mirror with light attached, you just pull out the plastic tag that separates the battery during transit and you are good to go.Sit in front of a mirror or use a handheld mirror to view your mouth, put the dental mirror in your mouth and angle it gently till you can see what your looking for then simply look in the mirror in front of you for the reflection.The light makes it clear as day and even though the mirror seems small it was absolutely perfect for looking at my extraction site… no dry socket what a relief.5 stars all round for this little gem.

I mean I received a new and sealed product where the light works when tested and batteries were included. But on taking the protective film covering the mirror off, it is not as good as a 'regular' mirror. I have kept this just in case of an emergency requiring it, yet, I think I still would use a hand mirror with a light as the quality of the reflected image was poor. Someone mentioned the price reflecting the quality of the product. I just think that for something as important as dentistry you want something that is effective at its basic job, i.e. reflecting an image, and this does it poorly compared to other handheld(face powdering) mirrors and the dentist's handheld mirror. It barely reflects an image well, so I wouldn't like to rely on it in a pinch, it would literally have to be the LAST mirror I had to use.
