After nearly a month of real-world use on UK roads, the TomTom GO Navigator 2nd Gen has proven to be a genuine game changer—especially for someone like me, a newly qualified driver still mastering roundabouts. Its advanced features, including clear visual cues, intuitive lane assist, and precise directions, have been invaluable. Navigating complex road systems, particularly roundabouts and motorways, has become far less daunting with the Navigator guiding me confidently at every turn.Performance-wise, the 6-inch display ensures that maps are bright and easily readable even in direct sunlight, and the sound output is perfectly tuned: loud enough to capture attention without being overbearing. The touchscreen is highly responsive. Rerouting is also quick and stress-free during unexpected traffic changes. The overall user interface remains straightforward and intuitive—ideal for those who are new behind the wheel and still building their confidence.On the design front, the TomTom GO Navigator 2nd Gen exudes a sleek and premium feel. However, I believe its aesthetics could be further enhanced by moving away from curved lines. Adopting a design with sharp, straight edges would give it a more modern, streamlined appearance. Despite this minor stylistic critique, the functionality of the device more than compensates, serving my exact needs with flying colors. For new drivers and anyone desiring a reliable, efficient, and premium-feeling navigation solution at an affordable price point, this unit is an excellent choice.

Excellent value and easy to use and very clear

Disappointing Bluetooth performance.Although both Tom tom and phone say they're connected, in fact they are not, as Live updates do not appear in the sidebar. It's only when you un-pair and re-pair that true and full connection is re-established and the Sidebar 'comes to life'. Having to repeat this set-up every time I get in the car is a pain.Voice Control is also a bit hit and miss. You have to really raise your voice before it understands. Shouting at the Tom Tom when I'm alone in the car is OK, but not when I have passengers! It's a bit embarrassing.EDIT:The Bluetooth seems to have settled down now and works reliably. Not sure why it was a bit wobbly at first. It's only fair to mention this. Still only four stars though because I'm still having to loudly repeat voice commands. Also having to initiate further instructions by again saying, "Hello TomTom", is annoying. It can only deal with one instruction at a time. Why can't it automatically await further instructions for a few seconds before retiring?

Yet another scam by tom tom you buy this device with a years free speed cameras but to get it you have to give all your card details and sign up for automatic renewal so if you forget in a year's time they just take your money and to be honest it's not that good speaker is crap not as good as the old ones

Friend was delighted with this Sat Nav. Especially the larger 7" screen, plus the benefits, a couple of which last a year, others forever.

Very pleased, been using tom Tom's for many many years tend to replace them every 4 to 5 years due to batteries, however, they seem to have sorted that out now. This new model is also much better at navigation

Fantastic device but after a month of use just went deadSo had to return it for a refund
