Its' over 3 feet long!
What do you say about a toy that is longer than the child you buy it for. One word... AWESOME. Lets get this out of the way. This T.Rex is the biggest dino toy I have ever owned. Beating out the 3ftx3ft Playskool Ultrasaurus from 1988. Taking it out on its 30th bday. This thing is so big that it is about twice the height and length of the old red rex. So for its pros. The detail is incredible. So good I dare say this would look good in a man cave. Fitting as its to scale for an adult to play with it like a 4yo. All the lines and markings follow the movie. The mouth moves both top to bottom, and it has to. This rex eats toys and most likely valuables. There is a compartment to release the devoured property. The toy is very stable. Feet and legs move to allow the best stablity it can. The material is mostly hard plastic which is a downer for us 93-97 JP toyline fans. Though duribility seems excellent. Cons NO REAL FEEL! Mattel is doing an amazing job with the JW line.(since Hasbro crashed and burned the 15'Jurassic World line. Their rex was odd, small, and horrible looking with screw holes on the side) This rex looks very close to the movies. Something even the thrasher rex from Lost World can not claim. However, the rex's from the 90s were made of rubber. They are easily manipulated albiet at the loss of mobility. This rex is big and hard but stable standing. So is this the best rex ever? Hard to say as an adult. The Kenner line of the 90s are excellent though this is taking on nostalgia. Its just so big that storage may be a concern, but for a child this thing is the greatest Rex you could ever buy. Imagine being under 4ft tall and getting a rex that is nearly as big as you. Its got to be memorable. I gave my Ultrasaur to my son when he was two. He still loves it and plays with it the same way I use to. Thing is a toy like this will probably never leave the child, until they have children. Great job Mattel.

Amazing t rex toy
Though I think it deserves 5 stars, I'll start with saying it's not "perfect," though that's compared to my Jurassic park t-rex dinosaurs from the 90s, which have a rubbery skin-like texture throughout and the feel of an internal skeletal structure. They don't make them like that anymore! But considering it's double the size of my biggest old one AND is so much fun for my son to play with, eating every small toy in sight, that makes up for it. It's just really really fun! It's now the big daddy dinosaur to the ones I passed down to him. You'll quickly get over the visual issue of the mix of hard plastic and softer rubbery materials for the different body parts once you start playing with it. I haven't had issues with durability yet. It survived a 3 year old kids birthday party with kids all around that age grabbing it and playing with it roughly at some point during the day. I did have to have my husband attach the leg though because when I first put it together, it kept falling out and I was worried we got the leg falling out problem some reviews mentioned. He went for it and after a little fenagling and a lot of pressure, we heard a loud satisfying click, and the leg is as solid as the other side that came attached. So note: it takes quite a bit of pressure to get that leg in because my husband is really strong and it took him a bit of turning and pushing! Also unlike some reviews, mine stands up perfectly well, even on carpeting. You just have to position the legs, but even at that it's not so precise as to exactly how the legs should be positioned in order to not fall over. My three year old sometimes asks for us to help position the legs if he's struggling because it's so big, but that's to be expected. He can play with it and have it standing on its own for the most part. It's a great toy!

My daughter likes it
So this dinosaur is absolutely amazing eye-catching and a great gift and definitely made my daughter squeal Christmas morning but let me tell you it constantly gets in the way there's nowhere really to store it and it's worse than stepping in a Lego to run into this in the middle of the night or even right and broad daylight 🤣 so I can't say I regret buying this but I thought this would be better than getting the cheaper one that's smaller and makes noise but I honestly think my daughter would have had more fun playing with that one and it was a cause a lot less injuries LOL. do you know how it is if you're a dinosaur lover you just got to have some giant ones. But even my daughter said that she doesn't really like any of the colossal dinosaurs because of how they get in the way she does like them I should say but she just gets annoyed about how much in the way they are all the time can't really set them up on a shelf because their tails get in the way you can't really put it in a toy box because they're so huge and we can't shove them underneath their bed because that's where all her extra blankets and sheets are stored so we set them out as a display almost on her floor on the side of the wall which is kind of where I was going to put her new bureau but I guess we're going to have to figure something else out because these dang dinosaurs LOL but still gave it a five star and everything because it is well built it is sturdy and it's pretty awesome when you're playing with itI just wish they could have made it a little bit more rubbery so that there's a little bit more softness to it but it still sturdy at the same time that would have been much better.

She big, she tol, but mostly she eat them all.
Silly title aside, I have to say this figure is astounding! Rexy/Reburta, the world famous Tyrannosaurus from Jurassic Park & World, comes to life (again) in this enormous figure. If you're wondering how big she is, she measures about three feet in length and stands about eleven inches high at the hip, and that's if you have her the walking pose. Otherwise, this baby can go into one tall tripod stance. She is very stable, and I've only had one of mine fall over when on some thick carpet, but that could have been because I didn't have her legs moved into a position where she could balance. The detailing is terrific as well, with my only complaint if I had to have one is her finger claws aren't painted. Which in all brutal honesty is not a big deal to me. I will also add that this particular JP/JW T-Rex does not roar, the only feature she has is the ability to swallow small dinosaurs (the grab bag ones seen on the box) or maybe small defenseless toys. If you want the roaring colossal Rex, then I suggest trying to buy one at Walmart as she comes with both roaring and 'eating' features. I will also add that you have to put her leg and tail on her body, which beats the 'bent tail syndrome' the old but awesome Kenner line came with. The tail pops in rather easily and even has a nice outline, so you don't accidentally put it in upside down, (something I did with one of my smaller t-rexes.) The leg, however, can require some muscle as you pop it into place and while I don't suggest going full-on 'hulk mode' on it, I do suggest pressing her leg into the socket until you hear an audible click (you'll know when you hear it). The best outcome I had with the two that I have was laying her on her side and pressing the leg into the socket, as I'm a fairly small adult with not a lot of muscle on me, but that being said this figure is not hard to put together. I also suggest before giving this to your kid for playtime that you move the leg several times to make sure it's in the socket to avoid it falling off. Lastly, this figure has several points of mobility. Her mouth opens astonishingly wide (I can fit my hand and part of my arm into her mouth and throat), the ankles can swivel to add stability, her legs, arms, and tail can also move, Her legs can move to allow her to stand in a very tall tripod stance or down to where she is sniffing the floor (or maybe drinking water). Her arms can be moved up or down, and her tail can move side to side. All in all, I'm an extremely happy collector, and I smile every time I see the fantastic work Mattel did to bring Rexy back to life since the tragedy that was the Hasbro line. <_< I cannot give this figure enough praise and if you're a collector I hope you buy this because she is an excellent addition to anyone's shelf or toy box.

One of the Best T-Rex toys I've ever seen!
I bought this toy for my younger brother and I was amazed by just about everything the toy had to offer. The Detail on the T-Rex was amazing, the T-Rex's "Stomach" can fit a whole platoon of Green Army Men and the size is HUGE! I do have some gripes, however. The Size is a mixed blessing being that It makes the T-Rex feel clunky to play with and the stomach hatch used to remove toys that the T-Rex has eaten can be a little hard for young ones to open. My Advice to get the toys out of the T-Rex's stomach is to have it "Throw Up". My brother got a kick out of it! Overall if you have a young one that loves dinosaurs, or toys in general, I would 100% recommend picking this one up! :)

I've said goodnight to this T-Rex every night for the last year...
So we've actually purchased two of these Super Colossal Tyrannosaurus Rexes. The first was for our older son when he was five, I believe (6 now). This T-Rex, aptly named Big T-Rex, has done it all. It's huge and awesome and I've even said that when our son outgrows it, it's mine. I'll also state for the record that I'm 34. This Big T-Rex gives me flashbacks to when the first Jurassic Park came out, but the mere size of this makes it even cooler than those old toys. This T-Rex has eaten everything in our house. Cars. Figures. Dinosaurs. Play baby food. Legos. Trees. Playmobil items. Cat toys. My Mario Chess set. Tv remotes. Star Wars ships. Squishy spiders. Snakes. Sea creatures. I mean, seriously. You (or your kids) could play with anything and have this behemoth get involved. My only complaint is that after so much use, the feet aren't very stable any more. Oftentimes it gets pidgeon-toed and then doesn't stand anymore and causes frustration. We ended up purchasing a second one for our 2 year old because he loved the 6 year old's that much. Oftentimes he'd pound at his door and yell 'dinosaur' until he either got it or he was dragged away screaming. Easily worth the $50. I wouldn't pay anywhere near the $100+ they're asking for it now though. Anyway, it's awesome. For the last year our night routine is that I say goodnight to our oldest son, and then I say goodnight to three objects in his room and he replies for them in a different voice. The last one is always Big T-Rex, to which I get a resounding "GOOD RIGHT," and definitely makes the night for me. If the price drops, buy it up. It's an amazing toy and I hope we have these monsters for a good long while.

King of the Dinosaur Toys!
This is a truly impressive T-Rex toy. It's jaws and throat are wide enough to eat 3 3/4 inch sized action figures. Just be sure you've got somewhere to keep it, because Rex takes up a lot of space. The legs are sculpted to be in a wide stance for better stability, and the long tail helps keep it upright too. It's sturdy as well. I saw one review that complained about the left leg coming off. That's the leg that doesn't come attached. Mine fell of initially as well, but I quickly realized that was because I hadn't attached it correctly. Once I'd done so, the leg stayed in just fine.

Truly a super colossal T-Rex figure...
This behemoth of a figure is the size of a small dog. While the paint application could use a bit more detail the sculpt more than makes up for it. It's truly a great looking T-rex it and measures up perfectly with 1/12 scale (6") action figures. The jaw articulation is great for a roaring pose or for eating other action figures. The legs are sturdy and the feet can rotate to allow for additional support when getting it to stand on its own. The tail also has slight bit of articulation to move side to side. This is easily the featured dinosaur in any collection and is a great buy whether you're looking to get it for a kid who loves dinosaurs or you're just a big kid who loves dinosaurs yourself.
