I don't know why the original one was plastic but it broke. Found this one and very happy with the results. It is built with quality and I hope it lasts a long time. Would recommend.

Prefect fit. The ones at home depot are 2x the cost, leak, and are overly complex. No leaks and easy install with this one.

This replacement worked fine. The shaft and ball were compatible with my existing drain. However I needed to use it with the old nut. Fit ok otherwise and no leaks.

The length is way too short but it’ll do for now. It works and it’s durable so that all that matters. I just wish it was longer.

I had to replace the drain lever in one of the sinks, it turns out that the original rod had corroded so bad, that it would have broken, which would have allowed the stopper to fall and close off the sink drain. I was able to swap it out, no tools required. I was able to complete the replacement in 10 minutes. This part should last for years to come. I am happy with this product.

This is good quality but the screw on cap is not universal and did not fit. The ball is specific as well. I had to return it and buy a universal kit. That kit was lower quality parts but it fit right.
