Effective and quiet too.
Had this sitting in my basket waiting for Prime day to bring the price down. Well worth the wait. I’m a competent DIY’er and installed it in a couple of hours as it’s fairly heavy and needs properly fixing. Wiring is straightforward but get an electrician if you’re not confident with wiring. The LED light is really bright and is both dimmable and colour temperature switchable. The best bit is the fan. On low speeds (1-2) it’s as close to silent as you can get. 3-6 are quiet although a bit louder. Air circulation can’t be faulted. It’s reversible too so can be used to distribute warmth in winter. I wish I’d bought this before I paid out for a portable air conditioner at three times the price as it’s so noisy it can’t be used overnight. We now have this on overnight and it makes the current heatwave bearable. Seriously considering getting another one for the spare bedroom.

The best 30" Ceiling fan/ Light combo available
Why did you choose this product over others?: Performace: 10/10 Extremely powerful DC hub motor allows a slow but still really effective setting that is silent. Put it on 6 and you can have a tornado in your house if you wish Power efficiency: 10/10 Compared to your typical desk fan, this uses LESS thanks to the DC motor that's inside. On number one which as mentioned is very effective and the setting I think most would have it on, it costs £0.005146 an hour to run at the UK price cap. Incredible efficiency Light: 10/10 Perfectly serviceible light, stepless dimming with the remote. Able to choose a warm 3000K light, a natural 4200K (Default) and a cool 6500K Ease of Installation 2/10: This is on the very limit of DIYability. You will need experience with how main lights are wired with all the weird UK loops etc. You will also need to ensure that there is a beam above where you want to install it. These are present able most light fixings in the UK, but if you have a hone that has lots of additions it will be something to keep in mind. Multiple tool will be required: -Phillips PH2 screwdriver (General assembly -8mm socket with drill/screwdriver attachement (Installing longer screws into wood beam, alternatively use you own longer screws) - Small ratchet with PH2 bit or right angle screwdriver (Installing last 2 screws that hold top bell housing on, very tight clearance for typical screwdriver) -Various electrical installation equipment (Wire cutters, strippers, Twin&earth, Junction box + Wagos or other similar wire blocks, multimeter/voltage stick -Drill/impact driver (optional, for installing big screws into beam) In my case, I had a hanging pending fixing. The ceiling fan has no inbuilt wiring center like these and only wants a single cable with Live, neutral and Earth. This meant I had to go into the loft and install a junction box, and make a short flying lead to the fan. Once again, if you do not have previous experience with how UK lights are wired, get a professional in to install this. Extra functions: Reversible - In the UK, we typically have radiators that tend to keep a lot of heat towards the top of the room. This fan has a button so you can reverse it, which should allow for more even heating in the winter. Unfortunately I haven't had it long enough to put this to the test Timer - A settable 1, 3 or 6 hours time to turn it off after Sleep mode - This varys the Fan between setting 1-3 which is supposed to immitate a natural breeze, it does work quite well if you like that, but I prefer just to keep it on setting 1 Overall, this is an absolutely amazing ceiling fan. I've had the ones that go into an existing light fitting, and a different style permanently installed one, and this tops them all. 10/10 Cooling effect: Very effective from a low speed while being near silent Value for money: Poor compared to other fans but worth it in my opinion Looks: Looks more stylish than all other 30" fans in my opinion Weight: Quite heavy, make sure you have a solid beam to mount this on Build quality: Seems solid all round, fan blades seem like a quality blend and definitely fibre renforced. Functionality: Everything that you need from a fan/light combo on the large ease to use remote.

Very good
Very good, well made solid throughout. Easy to assemble and install. If you have a plasterboard ceiling like me, you might want to run battens between your joists for a secure mount. Runs quiet, you get good airflow from the lowest setting, the highest setting is very fast! The light is bright enough for a double bedroom it's dimmable, it also has three different temperatures to choose from. Very happy with this product so much so I got a second one.

Pleased but not straightforward to install
So far so good. But this is not easy to install. You need some electrical competence/ confidence and patience as it is fiddly and required quite a bit of research and extra electric bits. If you have normal hanging pendant light you might be ok and it might be easier but I discovered I had a loop in pendant so had to install a junction box in loft and run a cable off that. Thanks to other reviews I knew what to do but it was definitely not something I’d done before. It is quiet and has an impressive breeze coming off it but time will tell! Also if you have low ceilings you should avoid this unless you’re on the short side! It hangs quite low!!

Superb ceiling fan!
Excellent alternative to floor fans which take up a lot of floor space. Very affordable and effective solution compared to expensive and tricky to find portable air conditioning units. Installation was straightforward, the fan is quiet on all fan settings and provides more than enough cooling performance even on the lowest settings. My only slight criticism is the screws provided were of poor quality and actually snapped one when tightening up so replaced them more robust ones of higher quality in the end.

Cool room in this heatwave
Absolutely wonderful, never had such a good nights sleep , with this overhead fan keeping me cool all night, very quiet, I can barely hear it, the light is great too, dims a lot and can be kept on or off whichever you choose, had an electrically engineer to fit it, which didn’t take long at all. I would be pleased to recommend this great ceiling fan.

I’M PLEASED WITH FANS BUT ALSO A LITTLE CONFUSED WITH INSTRUCTIONS.
We have purchased and fitted two of these excellent fans. Cosmetically l would say they are a neat unfussy design and most importantly they are quite when in use, especially on the obvious lower speeds. We have found that we often prefer them in reverse, winter mode, (where they lift air up rather than down) as this gives a quite, gentle cooling effect and doesn’t disturb any lightweight items that may be lying about. The supplied instruction manual, “Safety Precautions” paragraph 8 warns us that the fan must be stationary before selecting Reverse mode, but selecting Reverse mode on the remote control does nothing! In practice we found the fan needs to be running as normal, you then press the Reverse button just the once where it will slow down, then stop, and then restart in the selected Reverse mode, which is how we now operate them. I have actually checked this out on Google which does confirm this is normal as once the fan receives the Reverse mode order it is designed, in its circuitry to slowdown, stop and then reverse as selected so as to put no strain on the DC motor and this is exactly what ours are doing now.

Nice fan but light flickers when fan is on and light is off
Product received defective. When light is off, and fan is on, light flickers in the dark. Ive paid my electrician to fit and recheck the wiring. Is there a fix or can I get a replacement?
