These are my new favorite CLIF bar
These are not like the chalky, clay-like, or super-dry protein bars. They are soft with a texture like real food. Tastes and feels like oats, honey, some type of crunchy thing like puffed rice, and small pieces of peanut. They're really good.

I absolutely love these CLIF Peanut Butter Protein Bars. They’re delicious, they’re filling, and they make me feel like I’m doing something healthy and outdoorsy even when I’m sitting on the couch avoiding nature. But let’s be honest: These bars were literally created by bikers for energy — as in, people pedaling up mountains, burning through carbs like a furnace, sweating out calories faster than I can unwrap the bar. So of course they’re packed with carbs and sugar. They’re supposed to be. They’re engineered for performance, not peaceful blood sugar. For the rest of us? They’re basically a protein‑boosted candy bar pretending to be a health snack. They’ve got 40g of carbs and 15g of added sugar, plus all the syrupy sweeteners that make them taste amazing and immediately annoy my blood sugar. Do I still eat them? Yes. Do I love them? Absolutely. Do I pretend they’re good for my blood sugar? Not even a little. If you’re watching glucose, treat these like a treat, not a “healthy snack.” Pair them with protein or fat if you want to soften the spike. But if you’re just looking for something tasty, filling, and made with organic oats — these are fantastic. Delicious? Yes. Blood‑sugar‑friendly? No. Were they made for bikers climbing mountains? Yes. Will I keep buying them anyway? Also yes.

Husband loves these. I have ordered them at least 3 times. Doesn’t have that protein aftertaste. And actually tastes like peanut butter. And the size is perfect for him.
