Sync & Charge USB Cable for Barnes & Noble Nook (White)

I can't remember if I bought this cord for my Nook tablet or my original nook, so I'll write 2 reviews.If I bought this for my original nook:5 stars, works perfectly! Not a complaint about it.If I bought this for my nook Tablet:1 Star. Deceptive advertisingYes it says the charge cord is for nook, but this is just your basic micro-usb charging cord, which yes, is technically for nook and will charge your nook (despite your nook saying it isn't charging). But it charges very slowly. I see a lot of vendors on Amazon doing things like this, where they advertise a cord as being for nook Color or tablet and it being just a regular micro-usb. The nook Color and Tablet take a specially modified micro-usb cord. A regular micro usb will charge it, very slowly, and your nook won't register that it is charging. The cord isn't defective, if you leave it for an hour or so and come back and check how much battery life is left, it will have went up. In order to get full speed charging you need that special charger, which is normally sold in Barnes and Nobles stores but lately I haven't seen them around, the cord that is, not the stores. I see plenty of stores around.So whatever you came for, pick that review and read it.

While the product is poor in quality, you have to consider the fact that it sells for a VERY low price! My Nook does not recognize it is being charged when plugged in, but it is in fact being charged. Takes a bit longer than normal to fully charge. It does connect to my macbook with ease and works like the regular Nook cable there. All in all, this is a great, cheap alternative to buying a new Nook charger after having lost mine. I couldn't be happier to find such a cheap, albeit sloppy alternative.

I don't think people are reading the description completely. This cable is for the Nook Simple Touch and the Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight ONLY, although it also works fine on my Nook original. The plug on the other versions of the Nook is slightly different and this will not work or will work poorly. It charges my Nook Simple Touch quickly and completely, stays plugged in, and works with both a USB plug into the wall as well as interfaces directly with my computer nicely as well.The reason this has gotten such poor reviews is that people are using it with the wrong product.

It works well for my Nook 3G. I did not try it on my Nook color but i believe it is meant for Nook 3G (First Edition) Only and not for the Nook Color. The quality of the wire does not seem to be an issue to me. Good bargain for this price!

This is said to fit the original B&N nook, but it did not work in mine. I simply couldn't find a proper fit until I discovered my LG flip phone plug was the same size. I plugged it in and Surprise! I now simply use my phone charger plug-in.

Nice cable!!! This cable was purchased due to me misplacing my LG Optimus V cell phone usb cable, and realizing my Nook usb cable was the same type of cable . Well, that was a surprise. Instead of spending the extra cost for a cable for my cell phone, which I later found, I purchased the very very less expensive Oriongadgets Sync & Charge USB Cable for the Nook.

This cord is better then my old one that i broke. It fits into its slot better and therefore is harder to brake the way I did my old one

The cable is more flexable, which it make for better travel the nook end is a solid and should hold up better the the orginal. The length is about the same as the orginal cable. The cable\.
