The perfect canned protein food you can store.
$11 per tin!!! But I still bought a pack of 8. It’s very hard to find large sardines, and one of our favorite family recipes is a wholesome fried rice tomato onion dish that keeps large sardines whole. First I bought a pack of six in glass jars which amazingly arrived in tact because it wasn’t packed securely and wasn’t marked FRAGILE. The bottles were jumbled. One was leaking. Amazon may have removed that option because the review page selection was removed, and I got the pop up message that Amazon couldn’t find that order. So I’m very happy that the tinned large sardines is available and arrived in perfect condition. No leaks or dings, or breakages. They arrived tightly wrapped together in plastic wrap and in a cardboard box. They are a good food to store for an “emergency” meal, or camping, or creating every kind of recipe from salads, fry ups, to sandwiches, hot or cold, cooked or as is!!! ENJOY!! 😊

This is another excellent offering. It's one of the two brands I buy. I reviewed the other one which I won't mention here. I really think Ortiz and another brand, which uses sardines caught off the coast of Portugal, are in a dead heat for deliciousness. Ortiz is less "smoky" and considered a delicacy by sardine lovers. A real treat!

Great taste
When these were $7–$8 a can, they were a fantastic deal. After the Trump tariffs on Spain, the price shot up, and at that point I’d rather go with Portuguese sardines. Ortiz has that soft, buttery texture and a richer flavor, in my opinion, compared to the firmer Portuguese style—but taste is personal. With a $5 difference between the two, Ortiz just isn’t worth the hunt anymore.

Best Sardines by far!
We have tried almost every brand out there and these are hands down the largest and tastiest and best textured sardines out there.
